Our verdict on EdbMails OST Recovery
EdbMails OST Recovery is a Windows application for recovering offline, corrupt, and damaged Outlook OST files. It is suited to individuals and organizations that need to inspect mailbox contents, export recovered data, or move OST data into Microsoft email environments. The software supports email, calendars, contacts, tasks, journals, and notes, with single-mailbox and multiple-mailbox export options. It can preserve folder hierarchy and data formatting while filtering exports by subject, sender, recipient, date, and other fields.
Pricing is organized around three one-time editions. Personal Edition costs $99 and includes offline OST to PST export, mailbox recovery and export, preview before export, and export to PST, EML, MHT, and HTML. Corporate Premium costs $199 and adds OST migration to Office 365, Exchange Server, and Hosted Exchange, including hosted and on-premises environments. Technical Edition costs $399 and includes the Personal and Corporate features, plus unlimited computer installation, multiple-location installation, and OST recovery and migration. The tier structure makes the $99 edition appropriate for file recovery and export, while migration and broader deployment require higher editions.
Its strongest fit is a Microsoft-centered recovery workflow: integrations include Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Exchange Server, Hosted Exchange Server, and Microsoft Outlook PST. Previewing content before export, automatic mailbox mapping, filtering, hierarchy preservation, and batch recovery add practical control when handling multiple mailboxes. It is less suitable for teams that need a non-Windows application, a free starting option, or recovery beyond OST files. Choose Personal Edition for offline recovery and export, Corporate Premium for Microsoft migration, and Technical Edition when installation across unlimited or multiple locations is required.
