Our verdict on EDB 2 PST Converter
EDB 2 PST Converter is Windows desktop software for recovering and converting Microsoft Exchange EDB databases. It is intended for organizations that need to extract mailbox data from mounted or dismounted files, including corrupted, encrypted, or password-protected databases. The software converts EDB data to PST and also exports emails, tasks, calendars, and journals to MBOX, MSG, EML, HTML, and PDF. Its selective mailbox-item extraction, public and private folder support, date-wise filtering, and large-PST splitting make it suited to targeted recovery work and larger Exchange environments.
The published pricing shows a paid, one-time model with a $299 starting price. The Personal License costs $599, the Corporate License costs $999, the Technician License costs $1,999, and the Enterprise License costs $2,999. Each listed license includes EDB to PST Converter and other Exchange tools. There is no free plan. The main buying decision is therefore less about recurring subscription cost and more about choosing the license tier that matches the organization or recovery role.
Its strongest capability is the range of recovery paths around Exchange EDB files. Administrators can export selected mailbox items, preserve public and private folders, filter by date, split large PST outputs, or migrate EDB data directly to a newly installed Exchange Server. That makes it a practical choice when Exchange database recovery and format conversion are the central requirements. Organizations working outside Windows, or teams seeking a broader email recovery product beyond Exchange EDB files, should choose an alternative. EDB 2 PST Converter is most appropriate when its focused Exchange workflow justifies the one-time license cost.
