Our verdict on Easy!Appointments

Easy!Appointments is an open-source web application for online appointment scheduling. It is aimed at businesses, professionals, and service providers that need booking pages, customer and appointment management, configurable services, provider availability, working hours, and booking rules. The software supports salons, healthcare practices, consultants, and other appointment-based businesses, with deployment available on a server controlled by the organization. Its free plan includes open-source software, self-hosted installation, no monthly fees, and no appointment commissions.

Its strongest fit is for technical users who value control over scheduling data and deployment. Two-way synchronization with Google Calendar and CalDAV helps keep availability aligned across calendars, while group sessions support multiple attendee slots. Automated email notifications cover confirmations, updates, and cancellations. Webhooks and a REST API extend the product into custom workflows, and integrations include LDAP, Google Analytics, and Matomo Analytics. These capabilities give the product more flexibility than a basic booking page while keeping the main scheduling experience focused on appointment-based businesses.

The trade-off is operational responsibility. With self-hosted installation, the organization handles its own server deployment and ongoing administration rather than adopting a hosted scheduling service. The integration set is also more focused, centered on Google Calendar, CalDAV, LDAP, analytics tools, webhooks, and API access. The vendor describes automated reminders and deposits as premium features, while the core software remains free and open source. Choose Easy!Appointments if self-hosting, configurable scheduling rules, calendar synchronization, and technical extensibility matter most. Consider an alternative if you want a broader ecosystem or prefer a hosted service to manage deployment for you.
