Our verdict on DefensX Remote Browser Isolation

DefensX Remote Browser Isolation runs web sessions in a secure cloud environment rather than on users’ devices. It streams pixel-rendered webpage content to endpoints, helping prevent web content, malicious scripts, downloads, and browser exploits from executing locally. The product is designed for enterprises and managed service providers that need policy-based URL categorization, risk scoring, read-only browsing, web filtering, and controlled file transfers. Deployment is available through a browser extension or operating-system agent across web, Windows, and macOS environments.

The plan structure expands from browser and identity protections into data controls and isolation. Core includes Advanced DNS Protection, AI Visual Phishing Detection, Zero-Trust Password Protection, 30-day log retention, and RMM/PSA support. Core+ adds Browser Data Leak Protection, AI Prompt Protection, Shadow AI Protection, and AI Data Leak Protection. Premium adds End User Risk Reporting, Cyber Resilience Training, LLM Prompt Logging, Remote Browser Isolation, and 90-day log retention. Premium+ adds Application Control, Unmanaged Device Access, BYOD Workforce support, ZTNA access to web and on-premises resources, and VPN and VDI replacement. Pricing uses a contact-sales model, while trials are available.

Its strongest fit is an MSP standardizing browser security policies across customer environments. Risk scoring, exposure reports, file-transfer visibility, and controls by file type, domain, and category give administrators several ways to govern web access without relying only on endpoint execution controls. The PSA integrations also align the product with ConnectWise PSA, Autotask, and HaloPSA workflows. Organizations that need remote isolation specifically should evaluate Premium or Premium+, while teams seeking only foundational DNS, phishing, password, and logging protections may find Core more appropriate. Buyers wanting transparent self-serve pricing should look elsewhere.
