Our verdict on Dataimporter

Dataimporter is a cloud-based, web-accessible tool for Salesforce teams managing imports, exports, migrations, and backups. It supports CSV, Excel, databases, and cloud storage as data sources, while field mapping can use Salesforce API names or labels. Salesforce customers, consultants, and organizations handling complex CRM data operations can use it for both one-time migrations and recurring jobs.

The plan structure covers smaller projects through large-scale operations. The Free plan includes 20,000 records, 1 GB of backup, one production instance, one integration, and community support. Premium costs $129 per user per month when billed annually and adds 150,000 records per month, 10 GB of backup, two production instances, data cleaning, and email support. Enterprise costs $349 per user per month when billed annually and raises capacity to 1 million records per month, 50 GB of backup, five production instances, migration templates, and priority support. Custom adds unlimited usage, unlimited backup, SSO, advanced security, and custom support.

Its strongest fit is complex Salesforce migration work rather than general-purpose CRM management. Multi-object imports can preserve relationships through relationship keys and processing order, while Salesforce-to-Salesforce migrations support relationships, files, attachments, email messages, and Knowledge Articles. Formulas, picklist translation, record-type mapping, previews, test migrations, rollback, retry, automated backups, and incremental change tracking add control around higher-risk data operations. Connections include SFTP, S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage, databases, spreadsheets, and cloud drives. Salesforce teams that need structured migration workflows should consider Dataimporter; teams seeking a broader CRM platform or a non-Salesforce-centered tool may need an alternative.
