Our verdict on Dashlane
Dashlane is a password-management and credential-security service for individuals, families, businesses, and enterprises. It stores passwords, passkeys, secure notes, payment information, and other personal data in an encrypted vault, then supports autofill, password generation, risk monitoring, and secure sharing. Its broad platform coverage includes web, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and a Chrome extension. Organizations needing administrative controls and identity integrations are the clearest fit, while families can use a dedicated sharing plan.
The personal lineup includes Premium and Friends & Family. Premium provides unlimited password storage, unlimited devices, secure sharing, passwordless login for eligible new users, and VPN for Wi-Fi protection. Friends & Family adds 10 accounts and a Friends & Family Dashboard alongside unlimited storage, unlimited devices, and secure sharing. Dashlane does not offer a free plan, and new personal subscriptions are annual. Professional buyers can choose Omnix Password Management for employee credentials, passkeys, admin policies, SSO, SCIM, and workforce sharing; Omnix Credential Protection adds credential-risk detection, AI phishing alerts, risk notifications, and security-stack integrations. Omnix Enterprise combines both areas with custom packaging and dedicated account management.
Integration breadth is a central strength. Dashlane supports Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace, Ping Identity, JumpCloud, Duo, Keycloak, SAML 2.0, and SCIM, giving organizations several paths for identity and provisioning workflows. Its security features also cover Dark Web Monitoring, security alerts, secure notes with encrypted document storage, passwordless login using a PIN, biometrics, or security key, and passkey synchronization. Choose Dashlane when passkeys, secure sharing, business administration, and identity-system fit matter together. Individuals seeking a free option, or buyers wanting a less extensive credential-security suite, should look elsewhere.
