Its secured index supports keyword, semantic, vector, nearest-neighbor, and faceted retrieval, with REST Search API access and additional platform APIs for application development.
The platform’s strongest fit is breadth. Content connectors support systems including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Sitecore, SharePoint, SAP, Shopify, Zendesk, Adobe, Slack, Google Drive, Confluence, and Jira. Coveo also includes query suggestions, relevance tuning, recommendations, personalization, generative answering, passage retrieval, and analytics covering search behavior and content gaps. That combination makes it suitable when search is part of a wider customer, commerce, service, or workplace experience rather than an isolated database feature.
