Cone is web-based proposal software for professional service businesses such as accounting firms, agencies, legal firms, freelancers, and consultants. It brings branded web proposals, customizable quotes, pricing packages, contracts, electronic signatures, sales pipeline management, invoicing, payment collection, and accounting synchronization into one product. Multiple signers, buyer engagement tracking, proposal status tracking, and analytics dashboards extend its use beyond document creation.
Pricing is structured around Essentials and Growth, with monthly and annual billing. Essentials costs $13 per user per month when billed monthly or $9 per user per month when billed annually. It includes unlimited clients and proposals, a flexible editor, pricing tables and quotes, templates, flexible invoicing and payments, and integrations with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Zoho Books, Stripe, and GoCardless. Growth costs $18 per user per month monthly or $12 per user per month annually. It adds media embeds, automated billing and payment collection, client reminders and notifications, a sales pipeline, and removal of Cone branding from proposals and emails. A 14-day trial is available.
The product’s strongest fit is for teams that want proposal work connected directly to revenue operations. A proposal can include multiple pricing packages, collect electronic signatures, generate invoices, accept online payments, and support recurring billing. Accounting synchronization with QBO and Xero helps connect the workflow to finance systems, while Zapier and email broaden the available connections. Cone is less suitable for organizations that require desktop or mobile applications, a permanent free plan, or a proposal-only tool without billing features. Teams needing automated billing, payment collection, reminders, and white-label presentation should choose Growth; smaller teams may find Essentials sufficient.
