Our verdict on Conduit
Conduit is a cross-platform remote connection manager for developers, DevOps and SRE teams, system administrators, and IT professionals. It brings SSH terminals, RDP desktops, VNC sessions, and embedded web sessions into a tabbed workspace, with split panes and an encrypted credential vault protected by a master password. The desktop application supports macOS, Windows, and Linux, while companion apps support iPhone and iPad. Its native MCP server also allows compatible AI agents to interact with connections and vault operations.
The plan structure gives smaller teams a clear entry point. Free includes unlimited connections, an encrypted vault, 50 MCP tool calls per day, and one-day cloud backup retention. Pro costs $10 per month and adds unlimited MCP tool calls, cloud sync across devices, and 14-day local backup retention. Team costs $20 per seat per month and includes Pro features, shared team vaults, six-month backup retention, and beta features. Annual billing is available for Pro and Team with a 20% saving. A 30-day free trial is also available.
Conduit fits teams that want one workspace across desktop, mobile, and browser-based access without paying for basic connection management. Its open-source positioning and integrations with Claude Code, Codex, Grok, Cursor Agent, OpenClaw, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot, and OpenCode make it relevant to AI-assisted technical workflows. Choose it when SSH, RDP, VNC, web sessions, vaulting, and shared access cover your needs. Teams requiring a broader protocol range or deeper session-management scope should consider another option.
