Our verdict on CMI JusticeConnect

CMI JusticeConnect is a cloud and mobile access platform for public safety agencies already using CMI CAD and records management systems. Its web and mobile apps extend dispatch, incident, ticket and master-name records to users away from a desktop workstation. Law enforcement and other public safety teams can also access eCitation tools, vehicle and unit location, call and case notifications, and reports. The product is aimed at agencies that need operational information in the field rather than a replacement for their underlying CMI systems.

The field view brings several operational elements together: a common operational picture can display dispatch calls, units and map layers, while automatic vehicle and unit location supports awareness of where resources are. Users can create and access eCitations, and dispatch, incident and person detail reports provide additional ways to review records. Integrations include WEBLEDS, ImageTrend, Emergency Reporting / ESO, PulsePoint, EnRoutePro and First Due. Availability across web, Windows, iOS, Android and API supports a range of agency environments, though the central dependency remains connection to CMI SQL databases and CMI’s CAD and records systems.

Security and administration features include FIDO2/passkey authentication, device provisioning, CJIS access auditing and administration reports. The service is hosted in Microsoft Azure Government, and support channels include phone, email and documentation. Licensing is agency-based and requires a quote, so procurement requires a conversation with CMI rather than selection from public plan tiers.
