Our verdict on CloudFerro Public Cloud

CloudFerro Public Cloud provides OpenStack-based public cloud infrastructure for organizations, researchers and businesses that need compute, storage and networking at scale. It combines virtual machines with root access, dedicated server virtual machines, bare-metal resources, GPU infrastructure, block, object and ephemeral storage, virtual networking, load balancing and firewall services. The service also includes managed Kubernetes and access to Earth Observation data across public clouds, making it suited to technical teams running varied workloads rather than small projects seeking a simple hosted application.

Its pricing structure offers four paid approaches. Pay Per Use uses usage-based billing with Billing Units topped up before use, while Pay As You Go uses postpaid billing and a monthly invoice based on actual usage. Fixed Term — Monthly and Fixed Term — Yearly use commitments for lower rates on long-term projects, with special discounts potentially applying to periods of one year or more. Pricing varies by region, so the choice between flexible consumption and longer commitments is important for budgeting across CloudFerro’s public cloud regions.

The platform fits teams that need an OpenStack environment with multiple management paths: Horizon, OpenStack-compatible APIs, command-line tools and integrations including CloudFormation, libvirt, Terraform, the OpenStack SDK, Kubernetes and Keycloak. Identity options include Keycloak, OpenStack application credentials, EC2 credentials and two-factor authentication. Its breadth is a strength for large deployments spanning standard compute, dedicated hardware, GPUs, storage and Kubernetes. Organizations wanting a permanent free tier, a single uniform regional price or a narrower and simpler cloud service should consider alternatives; CloudFerro is better suited to teams prepared to select regions, services and billing commitments deliberately.
