ChurchCMS is an open-source church management platform for churches and ministry teams that want member records, giving, events, groups, attendance, communications, websites, and media tools in one system. Its scope covers family units, custom fields, lifecycle tracking, recurring gifts, event registration, volunteer rosters, children's check-in, sermon publishing, prayer requests, live broadcasting, and podcast RSS feeds. Technical churches can self-host with no license fees, while organizations that prefer vendor-supported deployment can choose managed AWS hosting.
Pricing is structured around deployment choice. The Self-Hosted plan includes the full source code, all features, an Android companion app, no usage or member limits, and free upgrades via GitHub. Managed Hosting costs $29 per month and adds AWS cloud hosting, daily automated backups, free ChurchCMS upgrades, a custom domain, SSL, email support, and onboarding. The annual managed plan costs $290 per year, includes two months free compared with monthly billing, and includes managed hosting, SSL and domain configuration, no setup fee, and email support. A One-Time Setup option costs $99 and covers installation, configuration, data migration, custom domain and SSL setup, and admin training.
The platform is particularly broad for churches that need operational and public-facing tools together. Its integrations include Stripe, M-Pesa, Flutterwave, Paystack, Amazon SES, and Twilio, while its listed platforms include web, Android, API, and self-hosting. That breadth suits teams prepared to manage a technical deployment or pay for hosting support. Churches seeking open-source flexibility, extensive ministry workflows, and control over hosting should consider ChurchCMS. Smaller teams that want a simpler, fully managed experience or mobile coverage beyond Android may prefer a more narrowly focused alternative.
