Our verdict on Cap VPN
Cap VPN is a freemium VPN service for Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS. It is aimed at users who want one-tap connections, IP masking, encryption, and privacy features across mobile and desktop devices. The free tier provides unlimited VPN connection time on standard servers, while paid plans add premium servers, higher device limits, high speed, and broader platform coverage. It also supports use cases such as streaming, gaming, and connecting on restrictive networks.
The plan structure makes the free tier the entry point, with standard servers and ads. Weekly costs $1.99 per week and includes iOS and Android, two devices, and premium servers. The 1 Month plan costs $4.99 per month and adds all four platforms, five devices, premium servers, and high speed. The 12 Months plan costs $49.99 per year with 10 devices, while 24 Months + 3 Free costs $89.99 for 27 months and includes the same platform, device, server, and speed highlights. Paid plans remove ads and provide premium server access.
Cap VPN’s feature set is broad for a free service: users get a kill switch, AES-256 encryption, ad and tracker blocking, per-app split tunneling, custom DNS on Windows and macOS, and support for Hysteria2, WireGuard, and VLESS Reality. The trade-off is that free users have limited server choice, ads, and one-device coverage. Cap VPN suits Android and desktop users who value modern protocols and a generous free connection allowance. Users needing wider server selection or multiple devices should choose a paid plan instead.
