Better Proposals is web-based proposal software for freelancers, small businesses, and sales teams. It supports branded proposal templates, automatic formatting, interactive pricing tables, reusable content, legally binding digital signatures, client activity tracking, online payments, CRM integrations, reporting, and post-signature onboarding. Recipients view proposals through web links on different devices, while teams can monitor document activity and manage proposal workflows.

Pricing is structured across three monthly plans. Starter costs $13 per user per month and includes signatures, interactive pricing tables, payment integrations, a Content Library, notifications and analytics, with a maximum of one user seat. Premium costs $21 per user per month and adds a custom domain, CRM integrations, automatic expiry dates, API/Zapier, and custom onboarding flows and forms. Enterprise costs $42 per user per month and adds content locking, simultaneous editing, inline commenting, manager approvals, and advanced user permissions. A 14-day free trial is available. Teams should choose Starter for core proposal creation and collection, Premium for connected sales workflows, and Enterprise for collaboration and governance needs.

The product’s main strength is the breadth of the proposal lifecycle in one web application. Teams can create interactive documents, track opens, reads, forwards, downloads, and section-level activity, collect payments through Stripe, GoCardless, or PayPal, and connect with CRM and automation tools including HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier, Calendly, ActiveCampaign, Pipedrive, and Zoho. Post-signature flows can include forms, payments, onboarding, and redirects. It suits teams that want proposal engagement and follow-up capabilities alongside document creation. Teams that require a free plan, more than one Starter seat, or a non-web platform should look elsewhere.
