Our verdict on Autosync
Autosync is an Android app for automatically syncing and backing up files between device folders and cloud storage or network drives. It suits solo users and small teams who want recurring transfers from an Android device to services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or a NAS. Folder pairs can run in the background, making the product a fit for photo backup, document copies, and other device-to-storage workflows.
Its main strength is control over how each folder pair behaves. Autosync offers two-way, upload-only, download-only, upload-then-delete, download-then-delete, upload-mirror, and download-mirror modes. Include and exclude patterns help narrow the files handled, while a maximum file-size setting can skip large items. Wi-Fi-only and battery-condition rules reduce unwanted transfers, and each folder pair can have its own configuration. The app follows a paid model with a free trial before purchase, and there is no free plan.
Platform and endpoint breadth make Autosync more adaptable than a cloud-only mobile backup utility. Alongside Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Dropbox, Box, MEGA, Nextcloud, ownCloud, pCloud, and Yandex Disk, it supports WebDAV, FTP, SFTP, and LAN/SMB. An automation interface can trigger sync actions from compatible automation apps. However, its Android-only deployment limits cross-platform use, and it does not provide direct peer-to-peer device synchronization. Choose Autosync if configurable Android-to-cloud or Android-to-network transfers are the priority; choose another tool if desktop platforms or direct device-to-device syncing are essential.
