Our verdict on AS Data Recovery
AS Data Recovery is Windows software for recovering deleted, formatted or lost files, partitions and file systems. It suits Windows users working with internal or external HDDs, SSDs, USB devices, SD or CF cards, as well as disk images and virtual disks. Recovery can use file-system reconstruction or signatures for more than 50 file types, and recovered data is saved to a separate destination. Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016 and later are supported.
Its breadth across file systems and source types is a central strength: reconstruction covers NTFS, exFAT, FAT32, HFS+, APFS and ext2/3/4, while image support includes IMG, RAW, VMDK and VHDX. The software can preview recoverable files before purchase and access source media read-only. Those features make it a fit for varied Windows recovery jobs, including memory cards and virtual disks. It is not the right choice when RAID or bootable recovery is required.
The published plans show a $150 one-time Professional license with full recovery features, 1 activation and a perpetual license for the purchased major version, for a single technician or organization. Enterprise costs $650 one-time and adds 5 activations, permission for commercial recovery services and priority support. A free trial can scan and preview files, but saving recovered data requires a paid license. Choose Professional for a single activation and core recovery; Enterprise is aimed at service providers or organizations needing multiple activations.
