Aristotle Metadata Registry gives organisations a browser-based place to record, manage and publish information about their data. Its registry covers data dictionaries, code lists, business glossaries, vocabularies, performance indicators and classifications. Teams that need shared definitions and governed changes—including government, small, mid-market and enterprise organisations—are the natural audience. It is a focused fit for metadata governance rather than an all-purpose data platform.
The strongest case is the combination of discovery and controlled contribution. Full-text search includes spelling suggestions, filters and facets, while rich-text editors and guided wizards support metadata creation. Links connect definitions with code lists and performance indicators; links between datasets, distributions and data elements provide graphical lineage. Issue management, edit history and peer review support collaboration, with automated quality checks against configured rules and configurable endorsement, governance and publishing workflows. This makes the registry more than a glossary, particularly for teams that need review and publication steps around shared metadata.
