Our verdict on ApexStream
ApexStream is a web-based live video production and distribution platform for creators, podcasters, production teams, organizations, and community broadcasters. Its Web Studio supports remote guest links, backstage preparation, scenes, layouts, logos, lower thirds, tickers, graphics, polls, media, shared screens, and production controls. Broadcasts can go to YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Twitch, Instagram Live, TikTok LIVE, X, LinkedIn Live, and custom RTMP destinations, making it suitable for shows that need guests and distribution across several channels.
The free plan provides two connected channels, two simultaneous destinations, streams up to two hours, a 720p encoder and Web Studio, five Web Studio guests, and an ApexStream watermark. Hobby costs $25 per month or $250 per year and adds four connected channels, three destinations, streams up to 24 hours, a 1080p encoder, 10 guests, and no watermark. Creator costs $60 per month or $600 per year, with six channels, five destinations, 1080p Web Studio, 4K local recording, AI Clips, and 10 guests. Scale costs $199 per month or $2,160 per year and adds eight channels, eight destinations, bring-your-own storage, and priority support. Enterprise has custom capacity, 50 destinations, and custom concurrent stream capacity.
ApexStream’s strongest distinction is the combination of remote production and post-stream repurposing. Eligible plans support RTMP, RTMPS, SRT, and WHIP inputs, while recording options include local and cloud workflows. Creator and higher plans add portrait output, AI highlight detection, vertical reframing, generated captions, and AI Clips. Choose ApexStream if browser-based production, guest participation, multistreaming, and content reuse matter more than top-end streaming resolution. The free plan suits lightweight broadcasts; Hobby suits watermark-free 1080p production. Teams requiring higher than 1080p streaming should choose an alternative.
