Our verdict on Amnezia VPN
Amnezia VPN combines a free VPN service, paid Premium access, business plans, and self-hosted deployment on a user-owned server. It suits small teams that need affordable VPN access across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android, while also appealing to users who want open-source clients or more control over deployment. Premium supports up to seven simultaneous devices, and the service includes a kill switch, streaming support, and P2P support through the Switzerland location.
Pricing covers several use cases. Amnezia Free costs $0 per month and provides access to selected blocked websites, speeds up to 8 Mbps, and AmneziaWG 3.1. According to the vendor's pricing page, Premium costs $30 per 6 months, $50 per year, or $80 per 2 years, with 20 connection locations, unlimited bandwidth, up to seven devices, and 24/7 support. Business Basic costs $8 per user per month and adds four locations, the XRay VLESS protocol, and priority team support. Business Custom adds custom server locations, an admin panel, fixed IPs, and priority team support.
The product's strongest fit is for teams that value price, broad client coverage, protocol choice, or self-hosting over extensive centralized administration. Support for Keenetic routers, OpenWrt routers, and Android TV expands its platform fit, while AmneziaWG, WireGuard, OpenVPN, IKEv2, XRay Reality, and Shadowsocks provide deployment flexibility. The trade-off is that the free plan is narrow, Business Basic has only four locations, and business administration and enterprise integrations are less developed than leading business-focused VPN products. Choose Amnezia for flexible, low-cost access; consider an alternative if advanced enterprise management is the priority.
