Our verdict on AlertMe
AlertMe is a web-based social listening and media monitoring tool for individual users, small teams, large teams, and corporations. It monitors online news sources, Twitter, and Reddit through keyword, article title, URL, and Twitter-handle searches. Continuous background searches, Boolean queries, and a search builder support ongoing monitoring, while filters can narrow results by follower count, source, author, keywords, and engagement. Email alerts are organized by influence and source.
The published plans start at $29 per month for Individual, which includes 10,000 viewable media posts per month and 3 active searches. Pro costs $199 per month for small teams and raises those limits to 100,000 viewable media posts and 20 active searches. Super Pro costs $299 per month for large teams, with 250,000 viewable media posts and 50 active searches. Enterprise costs $1,249 per month for corporations and includes unlimited viewable media posts and unlimited active searches. A 14-day trial is available, and the service is delivered through the web.
AlertMe’s strongest fit is focused monitoring where email alerts, URL activity searches, and query controls matter more than broad platform coverage. Its URL searches can track social activity around news articles, and its filters help prioritize activity by influence and engagement. Coverage is concentrated on Twitter, Reddit, and online news, so organizations needing sentiment analysis, AI features, integrations, or historical data should choose a product built around those capabilities instead. Individual users and smaller teams with a limited number of active searches get the clearest value from the lower tiers, while larger organizations can scale search and viewing limits through the upper plans.
