Our verdict on Alchemy RPG
Alchemy RPG is a browser-based and desktop virtual tabletop for gamemasters and players running tabletop roleplaying games. Its focus is immersive, narrative-led play: scenes can combine artwork, motion effects, and music, while built-in voice and video chat supports remote sessions. The platform also covers tactical maps, grids, tokens, encounters, characters, NPCs, parties, spectators, dice rolling, automated actions, notes, journals, handouts, and custom game-system creation. It is a strong fit for groups that want their game presentation to feel more cinematic without giving up tactical tools.
The Free Unlimited plan provides unlimited games, characters, universes, voice and video chat, asset uploads, and access to every game system. That makes the free tier unusually broad for groups that need the core tabletop experience without a paid commitment. The optional Alchemist plan adds a 5% marketplace discount, roadmap voting, seasonal perks and rewards, early access to new features, exclusive developer team chats, and Alchemist identity badges. These additions are supporter benefits rather than expanded core gameplay features, so groups should choose it for those extras rather than for essential session functionality.
