Our verdict on Aikido Security

Aikido Security is a software security platform for development, security and infrastructure teams. It brings software composition analysis, dependency scanning, SAST, secrets detection, IaC scanning, container image scanning, cloud posture management, SBOM generation, license scanning and automated remediation into one product. Its hybrid deployment model includes web, Windows, macOS, Linux and self-hosted options, while local and on-premises scanning supports environments that keep source code inside the customer’s infrastructure.

The Developer plan is free forever and includes two users, dependency scanning, SAST, secrets detection and cloud scanning. Basic adds PR security review, issue synchronization, reports and analytics, and PR code quality checks. Pro adds on-prem scanning, virtual machine scanning, attack surface monitoring, malware detection and same-day support. Advanced adds an internal-app broker, private registry proxy, higher API rate limits, FIPS base images, priority Slack or Microsoft Teams support and FedRAMP ATO. Enterprise includes enterprise-grade modules with tailored pricing. The published plans also show an annual billing option with 10% off.

Integration breadth is a central part of the platform’s fit. Aikido connects with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure Repos, plus AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. It also supports Jira, Asana, Linear, Drata, Vanta, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD and Azure Pipelines. AI-assisted autofix and pull-request remediation add workflow support beyond detection. Choose Aikido when one platform should cover multiple AppSec domains across code, cloud and runtime, especially with hybrid deployment needs. Teams focused on a single narrowly defined security function may prefer a more specialized product.
