Our verdict on 1Remote

1Remote is an open-source Windows desktop application for organizing and launching remote sessions from one interface. It supports RDP, SSH, VNC, Telnet, FTP, SFTP, RemoteApp and customizable external protocol runners. Its searchable launcher, Alt+M shortcut and tabbed interface suit Windows users who manage varied connection types and want a focused desktop manager rather than separate tools for each protocol.

Session organization is one of its strongest areas. Connections can include multiple accounts and addresses, tags, notes, icons, colors and scripts. RDP users also get multi-monitor and HiDPI connection support. Import options cover mRemoteNG, PRemoteM and RDP files, while custom external runners extend the manager to other applications. OneDrive and MySQL are listed integrations, and the project offers portable, executable, preview and Microsoft Store builds, all listed as free.
