The additions include 13 new country or territory entries, plus city-specific options in Naples, Italy, and Tottenham, UK. PIA says the locations appear automatically in supported apps, so existing subscribers do not need to reinstall the app or change plans.
Which VPN locations did PIA add?
PIA’s September 30, 2026 announcement groups the additions by region. The list includes new countries and territories as well as the two city-level choices in markets PIA already served.
| Region | Added locations |
|---|---|
| Americas | Cayman Islands, Cuba, Jamaica |
| Europe | Belarus, Italy (Naples), Jersey, UK (Tottenham) |
| Asia Pacific | Bhutan, Brunei, Guam, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand |
| Middle East, Africa & Central Asia | Pakistan, Uzbekistan |
PIA describes the expansion as 13 new country or territory entries plus city-level locations in Naples and Tottenham. The company’s total of 170 locations across 104 countries and territories, previously 91 countries, is also provider-reported rather than an independent network count. PIA’s announcement
Does PIA have VPN locations in Cuba, Belarus and Myanmar?
Yes. PIA lists Cuba, Belarus and Myanmar among the additions. However, a location shown in a VPN app does not necessarily mean the server hardware is physically in that place. A virtual location gives the user an IP address associated with the displayed location while the underlying server is hosted elsewhere.

Will the new locations improve speed or unblock specific content?
Not necessarily. PIA says having more nearby choices may help some users find a closer or less congested connection, and that location choice can be relevant to speed. Those are possibilities, not promises: connection results depend on factors including the user’s physical location, ISP, selected server, account, and third-party services. PIA does not report independent performance measurements for these additions or establish access to any named streaming service.
When choosing a location, distinguish the IP’s apparent location from the server’s physical host site, then consider your own connection and use case. PIA’s server page discusses location choice in relation to speed, but does not guarantee the same result for every user. PIA’s VPN server locations page
