So far, The Pokémon Company has officially revealed three first partner Pokémon—Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua—and two special Pikachu, Mr. Windychu and Ms. Wavychu. Their published profiles include types and basic details for the three partners, but the Pikachu pair’s roles and the games’ wider Pokémon roster have not been announced.
Which new Pokémon have been revealed?
The Pokémon Company announced Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves on February 27, 2026. Its announcement names three first partner Pokémon and introduces two special Pikachu. These are confirmed reveals, not a complete Pokédex or a list of every Pokémon that will appear. The official announcement
Browt
Type: Grass. Category: Bean Chick Pokémon. Ability: Overgrow. The Pokémon Company lists Browt at 1 foot (0.3 m) tall and 7.7 pounds (3.5 kg).
Its official profile says: “This Pokémon runs about energetically while photosynthesizing using the leaves on its brow. It’s lively, but it can also be a bit clumsy.”

Pombon
Type: Fire. Category: Puppy Pokémon. Ability: Blaze. Its listed height is 1 foot 4 inches (0.4 m), and its weight is 14.8 pounds (6.7 kg).
The official profile explains: “The area below its throat glows faintly from the heat-generating organ within its lungs. This Pokémon is guileless and friendly.”
Gecqua
Type: Water. Category: Water Gecko Pokémon. Ability: Torrent. Gecqua is listed at 1 foot (0.3 m) tall and 9.5 pounds (4.3 kg).
Its profile says: “This Pokémon launches springy balls of water from its tail. Gecqua is very intelligent and maneuvers shrewdly while putting on airs.”

The announcement introduces Mr. Windychu and Ms. Wavychu as special Pikachu with a new look. Neither their story roles nor their gameplay roles have been explained. What has not been revealed?
The announcement does not confirm additional new species, returning Pokémon, starter evolutions, or how many Pokémon the games will include. It is safest to treat the five introductions above as the Pokémon revealed in the announcement, not as the full roster. No launch month or day has been announced.
