Why is PGSharp not working?
The cause depends on where the failure occurs. If Pokémon GO itself will not open, connect, or authenticate, use the official game’s troubleshooting steps below. If the problem occurs only while using PGSharp, the available official PGSharp contact is its feedback form; it is not a compatibility chart or a troubleshooting guide.

There is no established, current PGSharp compatibility matrix or verified fix for a particular PGSharp version in the cited support material. A game update or device change may coincide with a failure, but that alone does not establish the cause or mean a reinstall will fix it.
How do I fix Pokémon GO after an update?
Use these steps only when the official Pokémon GO app is malfunctioning. Niantic’s Android guidance does not certify or repair PGSharp.

- Update the official app. Install the newest Pokémon GO version available from your app store.
- Check connectivity and location. Confirm that your internet connection is stable and location accuracy is enabled.
- Refresh game data. Use the in-game option to refresh game data. This can turn off Adventure Sync, so check that setting afterward if you use it.
- Set date and time automatically. Enable automatic date, time, and time zone in Android settings.
- Clear Pokémon GO’s cache. In Android settings, open the app’s storage options and clear its cache.
- Allow background data. Check that background data is not blocked for Google Play Services or the Google Play Store.
- Reinstall if necessary. Uninstall Pokémon GO, then install the latest official version from your app store.
For official-game support, Niantic says in-app support offers the best experience and fastest response times. Open support from within Pokémon GO when possible.
Why does Pokémon GO say “Unable to authenticate”?
Pokémon Support’s sign-in guidance is for supported Pokémon GO accounts, not a way to make PGSharp authenticate. Work through the account and device checks that match your sign-in method:

- Try signing in to the account provider’s website to confirm that your credentials work.
- Where applicable, verify that Pokémon GO is authorized to access the account.
- Update both the device’s operating system and the official Pokémon GO app.
- Temporarily turn off a VPN while testing the connection.
- Restart the device and close background apps.
- On Android, clear Pokémon GO’s cache. On iOS, reinstall the official app.
- If the issue continues, consider changing the account password and trying again.
Use the account provider’s recovery process if you cannot access the account itself. Repeatedly reinstalling PGSharp is not an established authentication fix.
What should I do if the error happens only in PGSharp?
Submit the issue through the PGSharp feedback form and provide the phone model and Android version it requests. Avoid downloading replacement files from unofficial mirrors based on forum posts: the available official material does not establish that those files are safe or compatible.

The cited PGSharp form does not confirm iOS availability, current Android compatibility, or a version-specific remedy. Do not treat official Pokémon GO troubleshooting as proof that PGSharp will work afterward.
Is my phone compatible with the official Pokémon GO app?
Niantic’s published requirements list iPhone 6s or later with iOS 15 or later, and Android 9 or later with at least 2 GB of RAM. The game also requires GPS/location services and a strong internet connection. Niantic says rooted Android and jailbroken iOS devices are unsupported, and cautions that meeting the listed minimums does not guarantee that every device or configuration will work. Check the current supported-device requirements before troubleshooting, since requirements can change.

Pokémon GO announced that support for 32-bit Android devices downloaded from Google Play would end in July 2025; the announcement said 64-bit Android and iOS users were not affected by that change. For supported play on either platform, install the official Pokémon GO app from Google Play, Apple’s App Store, or Samsung Galaxy Store, and use a compatible device. Niantic says to use official game versions and does not support third-party apps, rooted devices, or jailbroken devices. Its gameplay-policy update makes that support boundary explicit.

Niantic’s Player Guidelines classify unofficial or modified software and location manipulation using unofficial software as cheating. The privacy policy, effective June 2, 2026, says Niantic uses in-game actions and some device information—including information about installed third-party software—in anti-fraud and anti-cheating measures. That creates account-policy risk; it does not establish that a particular player will receive a specific warning or penalty.
Is Pokémon GO Plus + a PGSharp replacement?
No. Pokémon GO Plus + is an optional accessory for use with the official Pokémon GO app. It is not a PGSharp repair, does not provide location-spoofing functionality, and does not replace the app. See the Pokémon GO Plus + FAQ for its supported use.
