Samsung’s stable One UI 9 rollout is underway in the US, but it is arriving gradually by Galaxy model and carrier. Samsung says the update reached the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Fold8 and Z Flip8 before it began expanding to the Galaxy S26 series on September 16, 2026. To see whether it is ready for your phone, open Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
When is One UI 9 coming to my Galaxy phone?
There is no confirmed date for every Galaxy model. Samsung said on September 16, 2026, that the stable release had rolled out to the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8, and that expansion to the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra was beginning. Samsung said the update would gradually reach other Galaxy devices; it has not published a complete US schedule for every phone and tablet in the sources available.
For the latest device-specific status, check your phone’s Software update screen or Samsung Members. A date reported for another model, carrier or country does not establish when your particular phone will receive the update.
Is the One UI 9 update available in the US?
Yes. US availability has been reported for some Galaxy S26-series devices, but rollout status varies. Android Central reported on September 23, 2026, that the release was appearing on some T-Mobile Galaxy S26 Ultra devices. Its September 28 report said Samsung support pages listed S26-series builds for T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile and US Cellular, and that reports for unlocked S26 devices were emerging. These are dated status snapshots, not confirmation that every customer on those networks has received the update.

- Scroll to and tap Software update.

Samsung has named devices that have begun receiving the stable release, but its rollout announcement does not provide a complete US eligibility list or delivery calendar for all Galaxy devices.

| Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Fold8 and Z Flip8 | Samsung said the stable release had rolled out to these models by September 16, 2026. | That every US unit or carrier variant had received it on that date. |
| Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra | Samsung announced the start of the gradual stable rollout on September 16, 2026. US reports later documented availability for some carrier and unlocked devices. | A guaranteed delivery date for every US owner. |

Samsung’s September 16 announcement said the update was expected to gradually roll out to other Galaxy devices. That is not a model-by-model schedule. For current status, use the Software update screen or Samsung Members rather than treating beta enrollment, a feature-support list or another model’s update as proof that your device has received the stable version.
