For a mostly low-motion Hindi playlist on YouTube Live, start in OBS at 1920×1080, 30 fps, H.264, CBR, RTMPS, and a 2-second keyframe interval. Choose a bitrate only after measuring sustained upload speed where the streaming computer will run: YouTube’s H.264 guidance for 1080p30 is 5 Mbps minimum and 14 Mbps recommended, but neither value guarantees that a particular JioFiber connection can sustain it.
Recommended OBS profile for a 1080p Hindi playlist
This is a practical starting point for standard SDR video with modest motion—such as lyrics or mostly still artwork—not a tested prescription for every playlist or computer.
| Setting | Starting value | How to apply it |
|---|---|---|
| Base/output resolution | 1920×1080 | Use 1080p output if the source material and computer can support it. |
| Frame rate | 30 fps | Start here for mostly still or low-motion visuals. Test 60 fps only if the playlist has frequent motion and your upload and encoder can sustain it. |
| Encoder | H.264 | Choose a hardware encoder if available and test its performance; the right encoder depends on the unspecified computer. |
| Rate control | CBR | Use constant bitrate for this YouTube-oriented profile. |
| Bitrate | Set from measured upload; YouTube guidance is 5 Mbps minimum and 14 Mbps recommended for H.264 1080p30 | Leave room for audio, network overhead, bitrate variation, and other household use. Do not treat the recommended figure as a guarantee. |
| Keyframe interval | 2 seconds | YouTube recommends two seconds and says not to exceed four seconds. |
| Protocol and audio | RTMPS and AAC | YouTube supports RTMP/RTMPS and recommends RTMPS; use AAC audio for the listed H.264 profile. |
These are YouTube’s encoder specifications and recommendations, not a promise about JioFiber or any particular PC. See YouTube’s live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions.
Choose a bitrate using your actual JioFiber upload
What YouTube’s numbers mean
For H.264 at 1080p30, YouTube lists 5 Mbps as the minimum and 14 Mbps as recommended. At 1080p60, its figures are 6 Mbps minimum and 17 Mbps recommended. The 60 fps profile therefore calls for more bitrate, while also requiring the computer to encode more frames. These are platform guidance values, not measured JioFiber performance.

OBS’s x264 guidance separately gives 5,000–8,000 Kbps as a starting range for 1920×1080 at 30 fps with the veryfast preset and low-to-medium motion. That is an OBS-authored example for that encoder and workload; it does not replace YouTube’s current H.264 recommendations. OBS notes that there is no single “best settings” profile because the result depends on setup and use case. Read OBS’s x264 streaming guidance.
Measure before committing to a number
- Run a speed test from the actual streaming location and network path, preferably at a time representative of when you will broadcast. YouTube says, “We recommend running a speed test to test your upload bitrate.”
- Do not use the JioFiber plan’s advertised speed as a substitute for a sustained upload measurement. Available upload can depend on plan, location, time, and household network use; no JioFiber-specific upload figure is established here.
- Leave headroom for audio, network overhead, bitrate variation, and other people or devices using the connection. If the connection cannot sustain the selected bitrate reliably, reduce it rather than operating at the edge.
- Run a private or otherwise audience-free test with representative Hindi audio and visuals. Check YouTube stream health and OBS for dropped frames or encoding overload before relying on the profile.
Set up OBS and connect it to YouTube Live
- Get an initial OBS recommendation: In OBS, open Tools → Auto-Configuration Wizard and use it as a hardware-aware starting point, or configure the streaming output settings yourself. OBS’s current interface may vary by version.
- Create or select a YouTube broadcast: Open YouTube’s Live Control Room, choose or create the broadcast, and connect OBS using YouTube’s current integration or stream-key workflow. Use the on-screen instructions to link the broadcast; do not share your stream key.
- Apply the video and output profile: Set 1920×1080 and 30 fps, then configure H.264, CBR, the bitrate appropriate to your measured upload, and a 2-second keyframe interval. Select RTMPS and AAC audio for the profile.
- Test with representative content: Play the actual kind of playlist you intend to stream, including its typical motion and audio. Inspect stream health and the encoded picture before making the broadcast public.
The OBS community’s guide to streaming to YouTube with OBS describes a workflow, but was last updated October 8, 2021; use the current on-screen controls if its interface instructions differ.

Decide between 1080p30 and 1080p60
For still artwork, lyrics, or other low-motion playlist visuals, 1080p30 is a sensible first test: it reduces encoding and upload demands compared with 60 fps. This is a workload-based recommendation, not a measured result for a particular Hindi stream.
- Choose 1080p30 first when motion is limited, or when upload and computer capacity are uncertain.
- Test 1080p60 if motion is frequent and smoother movement matters. YouTube’s H.264 recommended bitrate rises from 14 Mbps at 1080p30 to 17 Mbps at 1080p60; the computer must also encode the higher frame rate continuously.
- Compare the real result: Evaluate motion, visual quality, sustained upload headroom, encoder load, and stream health during a representative test. Resolution and frame rate alone do not determine quality.
Troubleshoot dropped frames and poor stream health
OBS reports dropped frames
This points to a network delivery problem. Recheck sustained upload at the streaming location, account for other network use, and lower the stream bitrate if the connection cannot hold it steadily. A plan’s advertised speed does not establish the upload available to this stream.

OBS reports encoding overload
The computer may not be keeping up with the chosen encoding workload. Lower frame rate or resolution, reduce encoder load, or test a supported hardware encoder. Change one setting at a time, then rerun a representative test; a different encoder is not automatically better for every computer.
The stream looks poor despite connecting
Check that the bitrate is appropriate for the amount of motion and the chosen resolution and frame rate. YouTube’s recommended H.264 guidance is higher for 1080p60 than for 1080p30. If upload headroom is limited, a stable lower-bitrate profile is preferable to a setting the connection cannot sustain.

The stream key or broadcast connection fails
Confirm that OBS is connected to the intended broadcast in YouTube Live Control Room and that the current on-screen stream-key workflow is complete. Treat the stream key like a password; if it may have been exposed, replace it in YouTube and update OBS.
