Where and when is the Warriors store opening?
The store is planned for Sylvia Park Shopping Centre in Auckland. In its October 2, 2026 announcement, the club set November 5, 2026 as the target opening date and described the lease as an initial six months. Both are announced plans and may change. The announcement does not give a store unit number, floor, or opening hours.
The Warriors described Sylvia Park as having more than 200 stores and an estimated 15 million visitors a year. Those figures come from the club announcement; it does not identify a separate report behind the visitor estimate.
Is the store officially called “Wah-House”?
Not in the announcement reviewed: the Warriors called it their “Official Team Store” and did not identify “Wah-House” as its formal name. The nickname should therefore be treated as unconfirmed branding, rather than an established store name.

What happens to the Go Media Stadium shop?
The club says its retail operation at the Go Media Stadium shop will close when the Sylvia Park store opens. The announcement does not say what will happen to the stadium space afterward.
Why are the Warriors moving into mall retail?
Chief executive Cameron George said merchandise demand had grown over the last four seasons, with sales through the game-day store and pop-up shops at Magic Round in Brisbane and NRL matches in Christchurch and Wellington encouraging the club to expand beyond match days. He described the demand as “exponential growth,” but gave no measured growth rate or sales figures. These are the club’s account of its commercial rationale, not independently audited results.

George said the move is intended to help the club “reach more fans outside the traditional gameday environment.” A mall shop offers a different setting from game-day retail, but the announcement does not establish whether the six-month lease will be renewed or whether the store will meet a particular sales target.

In a separate July 8, 2026 announcement, the Warriors described a three-year Dreamworld partnership featuring a recurring “Wahsworld” activation when the team travels to play the Gold Coast Titans. It is another example of fan-facing brand activity, but it is separate from the Sylvia Park retail plan and does not establish likely store sales.
