Nothing’s rumored AI smart glasses are reportedly targeting the first half of 2027, but the company has not officially confirmed the product or a release window in the sources reviewed. Bloomberg reporting republished by Investing.com gives that more specific timing; TechCrunch separately described the glasses as planned for “next year.”
When could Nothing’s AI glasses launch?
According to Bloomberg reporting cited by Investing.com on March 31, 2026, Nothing was targeting the first half of 2027 for the glasses. TechCrunch reported the following day, citing Bloomberg and anonymous sources, that the product was on track for release the following year. Neither report is a company announcement: Nothing has not confirmed a launch date or availability in the cited coverage.
Nothing is a London-based technology company, and the reports place the glasses within a broader move toward a multi-device strategy associated with CEO and co-founder Carl Pei. The reports do not establish a price, retail date, launch markets, or preorder plans.
What features are reportedly planned?
The reports describe a preliminary hardware concept, not an official specification. The glasses would likely have cameras, microphones, and speakers, connect to a smartphone, and use the phone and cloud to process AI queries, according to TechCrunch’s account of the Bloomberg reporting.

Meta’s battery numbers are manufacturer claims, not independent test results. Its announcement also describes AI glasses intended for use with prescription lenses, while Nothing has not confirmed prescription compatibility.
Meta has described its separate Orion project as an internal prototype that will not be sold to consumers. Orion uses holographic displays and contextual AI, so it should not be treated as the same kind of product as the display status-unconfirmed glasses reported for Nothing.
