Next check the destination and the wording of the objective. Finally, compare the immediate reward with the standing change. A contract showing a modest item or currency reward can still be worthwhile when it advances the guild rank that unlocks better listings. Conversely, a larger payout may not justify a long trip if it provides no progress toward the standing you are trying to build. The displayed contract remains the authority for the exact reward, because ordinary delivery missions do not have one universal payout.
How do I complete a standard delivery mission?
Complete the contract in the order shown by its objective. If the destination is another system, get there first; searching for the local objective before reaching the correct system can send you in the wrong direction.
- Open the Mission Board or talk to the Mission Agent. Review the available secondary missions and select a delivery contract only after checking its destination, objective, commissioning group, reward and standing change.
- Accept the contract and make it active. Use the mission log to select it if it is not already the active objective. Follow the contract’s stated destination system before looking for the delivery point.
- Reach the named system. Do not treat a marker from another active contract as proof that you have arrived at the right place. Compare the system named in the delivery’s objective with your current destination, then keep that contract selected.
- Use the compass in the destination system. The delivery objective should be indicated there. If the mission provides only an approximate waypoint, use the Analysis Visor’s Target Sweep to help locate the target.
- Complete the hand-in at the indicated place or recipient. Follow the objective’s instructions. Some missions may ask you to report completion through the relevant mission interface after the delivery.
- Check the result before leaving. Confirm that the mission is marked complete and that its reward and standing change have been applied.
The compass and Target Sweep are navigation aids, not substitutes for checking the active contract: if the marker does not match your objective, verify that you are in the destination system and that the intended mission is active. The Target Sweep guidance is documented by No Man’s Sky Resources; the exact target presentation may depend on the objective.
Why the destination can appear to be missing
A delivery contract can feel stalled when the player searches for the local recipient too early. The mission first needs to identify the correct system; only then should the compass provide useful local guidance. If you have arrived but see no obvious hand-in, reopen the mission log and make the delivery active. Read whether the objective calls for a direct destination or an approximate waypoint. Standing is therefore both a progression target and a reward multiplier in practical terms. When two listings are otherwise similar, the one credited to the group whose rank you are developing can have more long-term value. Keep the commissioning group in view before accepting; completing a delivery for another group may still be useful, but it will not necessarily move the rank you want.
Standing thresholds and what they mean
No Man’s Sky Resources lists mission-access thresholds of 3, 8, 14, 21, 30, 40, 60 and 100. These figures are useful guideposts for progression. They do not promise that a particular contract will appear immediately when you cross a threshold, nor do they guarantee identical listings across every current game build.

Inspect more than the first contract on the board. Compare the listed reward, the standing change, the commissioning group and the objective you can complete consistently. Higher-level guild-specific missions may offer rarer items or larger quantities of Units or Nanites, but the specific reward is listing-dependent. Do not apply the corvette-and-gravitino-coil requirement to every ordinary station delivery. The update describes a distinct activity, and its announcement does not say that its reward structure matches the station mission board. If you are looking for a normal delivery, start at a Space Station.
