These are feature-based recommendations, not hands-on test results. Unusually long pages, lazy-loaded images, dynamic content, and nested scroll areas can behave differently from ordinary pages. Local processing claim
FireShot says captures are made locally and work offline. The vendor describes this as “100% local captures keep your work private and offline‑safe.” Treat that as a vendor statement, not an independent security audit; check the current extension permissions and product details for your browser before using it with sensitive pages.

Capture, annotation, and formats
The Nimbus Screenshot Firefox listing describes entire-page and scrolling capture, selected regions, and browser-window capture. It also lists JPG/PNG and PDF saving, plus annotation features such as crop and resize, arrows, stickers, highlights, blur, and watermarking in Premium. The listing says horizontal scrolling is supported. Sharing and account considerations
The Firefox listing names Nimbus Note, Slack, Google Drive, Google Classroom, and Dropbox sharing in Premium. It says saving to Nimbus Note requires an account. It also describes collection of operating-system and browser-version information for statistics and lists permission to access data for all websites. These are listing statements, not an independent privacy review. For sensitive pages, inspect the current permissions and avoid cloud sharing unless the destination is acceptable.

Compare the details that affect your decision
Full-page and off-screen selection capture
Both products advertise full-page scrolling screenshots. FireShot explicitly lists visible-area and selection capture, while Nimbus lists selected-region capture. Those descriptions do not prove that either extension will capture every off-screen region on a particular site. Pages that load content as you scroll, change while capturing, or place content inside nested scroll containers deserve a real-world trial.

Both listings include PDF saving. FireShot’s materials go further in describing PDF-related options, including clickable links in the Firefox listing and multi-page PDFs with headers, footers, and watermarks among its advanced features. The available Nimbus listing confirms PDF saving but does not establish equivalent multi-page controls or clickable-link behavior.
Annotation and sharing
Both products list editing or annotation tools. Nimbus’s Firefox listing makes its annotation options and collaboration destinations especially explicit. FireShot’s listed editing includes blur and erase as well as highlights and text; Nimbus lists blur and watermarking in Premium. If you need to obscure sensitive information, verify the result in the exported file before sharing rather than assuming an annotation action provides secure redaction.

Batch capture and automation
FireShot’s materials describe batch capture, all-open-tab capture, and URL-list batch capture. Those are useful when you need to process multiple pages, but the available product descriptions do not establish a particular automation interface or guarantee that batch jobs will handle every site. Nimbus’s reviewed Firefox listing does not establish comparable batch features.
Browser availability and update dates
The reviewed marketplace pages establish Firefox listings; they do not establish feature parity across Chrome, Edge, or other browsers. On the reviewed Firefox pages, Nimbus listed version 15.6.9 and a last-update date of July 31, 2020; FireShot listed version 1.12.18 and a last-update date of June 5, 2023. These dates apply only to those Firefox listings, not necessarily to other browser editions or current versions. How to test a long-page screenshot before relying on it
- Use the browser edition you actually plan to use. Confirm the extension is currently available in that browser’s official store and review its version, permissions, and feature tier.
- Pick representative pages. Include a very long page, a page with lazy-loaded images, one that changes as it loads, and—if relevant—a page with a nested scrolling panel or horizontal content.
- Capture and inspect the whole result. Look for missing sections, repeated or overlapping content, cut-off elements, unloaded images, and unexpected changes between the start and end of the capture.
- Check the format you need. For PDFs, verify page breaks, links, headers or footers, and legibility. For images, inspect dimensions and whether the complete page is present.
- Test editing and sharing separately. Confirm that annotations appear in the exported file and that the intended sharing destination works with your account and plan.
