The narrative follows Zodiac 1, a fighter pilot who has lost his family, home and purpose to the fictional Saal’Runa Empire. He undertakes a final sortie across the northern front, a strait, the Aegis Sea and the Capital while escorting a weapon or “Package.” Three Imperial aces stand against him, and an AWACS operator communicates with him through the cockpit radio.
