A pack or code may offer a random reward rather than a specific card, so check its terms and odds before spending. Here’s how each route works and how to redeem a code.
What kinds of rewards can you get in MyTEAM?
MyTEAM rewards are not one unified system. Depending on the source, you may receive a player card, a pack to open, a consumable that changes how a mode works, or currency to spend on other MyTEAM items. NBA 2K26 includes NBA and WNBA player cards, plus Game Changer consumables.

- Player and coach cards: Cards can strengthen a lineup or serve other collection and progression purposes.
- Packs: A pack contains the items described in its in-game listing. It may offer a chance at a particular card rather than guarantee it.
- Consumables: NBA 2K26 Game Changer cards can affect mode mechanics. Examples include a points or REP multiplier, restoring a Showdown streak, changing certain Domination parameters, or automatically evolving an Evolution card.
- Progression and challenge rewards: Playing MyTEAM can unlock rewards and earn MTP through challenges, agendas, and tasks.
2K’s NBA 2K26 MyTEAM feature announcement also describes Breakout: Gauntlet rewards improving with a longer run, and a five-win All-Star Team-Up session bonus. Mode and platform access can vary, so check the game’s current in-mode details.
How do I redeem a Locker Code?
- From the main menu, choose MyTEAM.
- Open MyTEAM Community Hub.
- Select Locker Codes.
- Enter the complete code, including its hyphens, and submit it.
If the code awards a pack, it may be waiting unopened in your pack inventory; find and open it to claim its contents. If the reward does not appear, check the inventory first, then restart the game and make sure it is up to date. 2K warns that a connection timeout can consume a code without adding content and says support generally cannot compensate for an unsuccessful redemption. Code limits and reward randomness
2K describes three code types: unlimited, limited by time, and limited by volume. A time-limited code has a deadline; a volume-limited one stops working after a stated number of players redeem it. The support guide says each code can be redeemed once per console. Most codes include a random element, so a particular item is not assured unless the code explicitly promises it.
No current active-code list is established here. Check current official NBA 2K announcements or in-game notices for a code’s exact reward, eligibility, and deadline rather than relying on an old code archive.

Are NBA 2K MyTEAM pack odds guaranteed?
No. A pack’s listed odds describe a chance, not a promise that you will receive a particular card. Before buying, open the pack’s More Info screen and read the odds and pack description. A specific card is guaranteed only when the description explicitly says so.
In its Pack Odds and You policy, NBA 2K Support says players have the same drop rates and that each pack is generated independently. Repeated openings do not improve the odds: 2K uses a 5% chance as an example of a probability that remains 5% on later packs. That is an illustration, not a measured NBA 2K26 pack rate. The figures shown in the game are 2K’s stated odds, not an independently audited rate.

What’s the difference between VC and MTP?
Both are in-game currencies, but they have different uses and sources. 2K’s VC and MTP guide explains the distinction:

How do season rewards and paid passes work?
Season tracks change over time. As a dated NBA 2K26 example, 2K’s Season 7 announcement, published May 13, 2026, said the season began May 15 and listed Invincible Angel Reese at Level 1, a Dark Matter Phil Jackson Coach Card at Level 28, and G.O.A.T. Michael Jordan at Level 40 on the free track. These are Season 7 examples, not a claim about the live rewards in October 2026.
2K said free-track rewards had to be unlocked through gameplay. It also described separately purchasable Pro and Hall of Fame passes that unlock additional rewards, which players still earn through gameplay. Check the current season in-game for its track, requirements, and available passes.

For a lineup decision, compare the specific player or consumable effect with what your team and mode need; a headline rating alone does not tell you whether an item is useful.
