The Nanoxia Deep Silence 6 is best suited to a build that genuinely needs a very large chassis: multiple drives, extensive water cooling, or room for oversized components. It offers useful control over airflow and noise, but its size, weight, and maintenance access make it a poor fit for a typical compact setup. Revision matters: the specifications below distinguish Nanoxia’s Rev. B manual from reviews of the original case.

What kind of case is the Deep Silence 6?

Nanoxia describes the Rev. B Deep Silence 6 as a tower for high-end gaming, extensive water cooling, or multi-drive storage-server builds. The manual calls it “a true case giant” capable of accommodating demanding projects. That scale is the defining trade-off: it gives builders room to work with many components, but takes substantial space to place and maneuver.

For the Rev. B, Nanoxia’s manual lists dimensions of 644 x 250 x 655 mm (height x width x depth). AnandTech’s 2014 review of the original model reports the same height and depth and an empty weight of 20.8 kg. Bit-tech also describes its review sample as weighing over 20 kg. Treat the weight as an original-model review figure, not a verified specification for every revision. A filled case will be harder to move, particularly with a water-cooling loop installed.

The Rev. B manual documents steel and plastic construction and support for tool-free external 5.25-inch bays. Bit-tech’s specification list for the case includes HPTX, E-ATX, XL-ATX, ATX, micro-ATX, and mini-ITX motherboard formats. Check the exact motherboard and component clearances against the revision and configuration you have; broad format support alone does not establish that every large board, cooler, or radiator combination will fit together.

How much storage does it support?

Storage is one of the Deep Silence 6’s strongest reasons to exist. Nanoxia’s Rev. B manual lists up to ten 2.5- or 3.5-inch positions, with a maximum of thirteen, plus six additional 2.5-inch mounts. The wording distinguishes the regular drive positions from the maximum configuration, so do not assume all of the listed positions are available simultaneously in every cage layout.

Before buying a used or revision-specific unit, check which drive cages, brackets, and mounting pieces are actually included. The documented positions describe Rev. B; they should not be treated as a guarantee that an original case has the same layout or accessories.

What cooling options does it offer?

The case combines conventional fan airflow with an adjustable roof exhaust called the Active Air Chimney. Opening the chimney exposes the roof ventilation and activates the roof fans; closing it contains sound and dust and turns those fans off. That gives the owner a practical airflow-versus-noise adjustment, rather than making acoustic insulation the only control.

Radiator support in Rev. B

Nanoxia’s Rev. B manual lists support for a 280 or 360 mm radiator beneath the top cover and a 240 or 280 mm radiator on the HDD-cage bracket. Confirm the intended combination with the manual for the specific revision and the actual cage arrangement. Nominal radiator support does not mean every radiator, fan, drive cage, and tube route will coexist without a fit check.

Installation access is a separate consideration

AnandTech’s original-model interior review describes a front-area radiator bracket that must be unscrewed from the case bottom for removal. The reviewer noted that this becomes awkward once a heavy system is populated. In other words, room for a radiator and ease of servicing that radiator are different questions; plan component installation and future maintenance before filling the chassis.

How quiet is it in practice?

The sound-dampening doors and adjustable chimney can help manage noise, but they do not make the stock fans silent. AnandTech’s 2014 test used five stock 140 mm fans and reported a 30.4 dB(A) background noise level. With those fans at full speed, the case measured more than 42 dB(A) at one meter, and the reviewer described the fans as easily audible.

DARKROCK Classico Max Storage Master E-ATX Computer Case
  • Supports up to 13 Hard Drives: Supports up to 13 hard disks (10x 3.5“ HDD + 3x 2.5” SDD) to reduce storage space shortage, which ensures you have sufficient storage for all your games and data
  • Vertical GPU Mount: The graphics card can be mounted vertically through 3 vertical slots, where the front and rear fans form parallel air ducts for better heat dissipation
  • E-ATX Motherboard Supported: E-ATX/ ATX/ M-ATX/ ITX motherboard supported (hard drive cages need to be removed to install E-ATX)
  • Supports 360 mm Radiator: Supports max. 360 mm radiator in top to efficiently dissipate heat, keeping system cool and quiet
  • Excellent Heat Dissipation: The mesh panels provide good heat dissipation and maintain a lower temperature in the face of high-power hardware

In that same AnandTech test setup, reducing installed fan speed to 70% brought the reading to just over 37 dB(A). Halving fan speed brought it below 32 dB(A), which the reviewer characterized as discreet but still audible in a perfectly quiet room. With the top chimney closed and the other fans at maximum speed, the reported result was 32.4 dB(A). These are results from AnandTech’s particular test and workload, not directly comparable to measurements taken with different equipment or methods.

Closing the chimney trades cooling for lower noise, and AnandTech cautioned that the closed-chimney option is unavailable when a top radiator is installed. The review also ran an 850 W thermal load for 90 minutes and reported that temperatures stabilized under its test setup. That laboratory load describes the review condition, not typical PC power consumption or a promise of the same temperatures in another build.

What is day-to-day access like?

Bit-tech describes front doors backed by noise-dampening foam, two front-mounted 140 mm fans, dust filters at the front and bottom, and a cover over a left-side fan mount. It found the front and bottom filters easy to reach, while the side filters were more cumbersome to clean. If the case will sit close to a wall or inside a tight desk enclosure, consider whether you can reach all filter locations comfortably.

Bit-tech also reported that the chimney slider felt stiff and that the pop-up I/O panel jammed on its review sample. Those are observations about that reviewer’s sample, not evidence that every Deep Silence 6 has the same faults. If inspecting a secondhand unit, operate the slider and I/O panel and check that doors, filters, and removable brackets are present and move as expected.

Should you buy a Nanoxia Deep Silence 6?

It makes sense when the build needs its unusual combination of high drive capacity, substantial radiator options, and full-tower space—and when there is room to accommodate a heavy chassis. It is less compelling if the priority is easy transport, a compact footprint, or effortless cleaning of every filter. The cooling and noise balance is adjustable, but running the stock fans at full speed was clearly audible in AnandTech’s historical test.

The available specifications and reviews do not establish current production status, current pricing, or new-retail availability. For a used example, make the decision around the specific revision, included cages and brackets, physical condition, and the build you plan to install rather than assuming a listing matches Rev. B documentation.
