The NACON Revolution 5 Unlimited is a premium asymmetric controller officially licensed for PS5, announced on October 2, 2026. Its headline feature is a built-in screen for changing settings such as audio mix, joystick sensitivity and shortcut mapping without leaving a game. NACON also announced PC and Android Smart TV compatibility, but the features and performance claims below are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.
What the built-in screen can adjust
NACON says players can use the integrated screen for quick adjustments during play. The announcement lists these controls:
- Audio mix
- Joystick sensitivity
- Shortcut mapping
- Controller system settings
TechRadar’s October 2, 2026 report described it as the first officially licensed PS5 controller with a built-in control screen. That is the publication’s framing; the available announcement and report do not provide a broader market survey establishing the claim independently.
Announced features and what they mean
| Feature | What NACON announced |
|---|---|
| TMR magnetic joysticks | NACON describes TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) as a magnetic technology intended to improve reliability, precision and power consumption. No independent measurements for this controller are provided. |
| Micro-switch action buttons | The controller is announced with micro-switch buttons. The release does not provide independent testing or comparative results for their feel or response. |
| Trigger blockers | Trigger blockers and an instant-trigger operation are listed. NACON’s performance language is a product claim, not a measured finding. |
| Remappable shortcuts and Shooter Pro Mode | NACON lists remappable shortcut buttons and a Shooter Pro Mode. The announcement does not establish a competitive advantage through testing. |
| Charging dock and storage case | Both a dedicated charging dock and a storage case are included in NACON’s announced package. |
NACON’s Accessories Division director Yannick Allaert characterized the product as a “state-of-the-art instrument” for competitive and demanding players. That is the company’s promotional assessment rather than an independent evaluation.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What is—and is not—established
The announcement makes the screen and configurable controls the clearest distinction: players can adjust several settings directly on the controller instead of relying solely on a separate app or console menu. It also presents TMR sticks and trigger options as competitive-focused hardware.
Rank #3
- Nacon OEM replacement 3-meter heavily braided cable
- USB-C into the controller and USB-A into the gaming console or PC
- Supports data throughput between controller and console or PC and charging for wireless/wired Nacon controllers for the fastest response times
- Compatible with the following Nacon controllers: Revolution X Unlimited, Revolution X, Evol-X, Evol-X PRO, and Revolution 5 PRO
- NOT compatible with Nacon Daija fightstick.
However, neither the manufacturer announcement nor TechRadar’s same-day report is a hands-on test of this model. The available information does not establish measured latency, stick precision, durability, battery life, or superiority over another controller. Treat “no dead zones” or similar performance language, where presented by NACON, as a claim until independently measured.
For a practical buying decision, confirm that the features you need are supported on your platform, then look for independent tests of latency, stick behavior and battery performance. The included dock and case, onboard adjustment screen and cross-platform claims can be weighed as stated specifications, not as proof of better gameplay.
