The Motorola Signature is the stronger fit if you want newer flagship-class hardware, a dedicated 3x optical telephoto camera, wireless charging, and a reported seven-year software-update commitment. The HONOR 90 is an older 2023 model whose published specifications highlight a 200 MP main camera and 3840 Hz PWM dimming. There is no verified head-to-head testing here, and current prices, stock, and HONOR 90’s remaining support period are not established, so compare local offers and support before buying.
How the phones differ
These phones are from different generations. HONOR announced the HONOR 90’s global launch on July 6, 2023; the Motorola Signature’s launch was reported in January 2026. That age gap affects how to weigh their specifications: the Signature is the newer, higher-tier hardware proposition, while the HONOR 90 may still suit someone whose priorities align with its camera configuration, display features, or local price.
| Feature | Motorola Signature | HONOR 90 |
|---|---|---|
| Processor | Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, according to January 2026 launch reporting. | Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition, according to HONOR’s global product page. |
| Rear cameras | Three 50 MP cameras, including a 3x optical telephoto, according to Android Central’s January 2026 launch coverage. | 200 MP main, 12 MP ultra-wide/macro, and 2 MP depth cameras, according to HONOR’s global product page. |
| Front camera | 50 MP, according to Android Central’s January 2026 launch coverage. | 50 MP, according to HONOR’s global product page. |
| Battery and charging | Motorola’s search-result overview listed a 5200 mAh battery and up to 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, but the linked page returned 404 when opened; confirm these figures in an accessible official specification before relying on them. | 5000 mAh typical capacity (4900 mAh rated) and up to 66W wired charging with the original HONOR SuperCharge charger and cable, according to HONOR. |
| Software commitment | Launch reporting says Android 16 and a seven-year commitment for OS upgrades and security patches; this is a reported company promise, not verified support performance. | Remaining support term not established in the available product information. |
| Price context | €999 was reported as the launch starting price in January 2026; it is not a current offer. | Current price not established. |
Which one is better for performance?
The published processor tiers point toward the Motorola Signature for demanding games, heavy multitasking, and a longer runway for newer apps. HONOR specifies the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition for the HONOR 90, while Signature launch coverage identifies a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. Those model names indicate different hardware tiers, but they are not a benchmark comparison: no controlled speed test between these exact phones is established here.
If performance is central to your choice, look for independent tests of the specific regional versions you can buy, and consider the apps and games you actually use. Also check RAM and storage on the exact configuration offered; a model name alone does not tell you how much usable storage a local listing includes.

Which phone has the better cameras?
The choice is about camera versatility, not megapixel totals. The Signature is described as having three 50 MP rear cameras, including a 3x optical telephoto. That dedicated zoom lens is the clearer fit if you often photograph distant subjects or want optical zoom rather than relying on digital cropping. The HONOR 90 pairs a 200 MP main camera with a 12 MP ultra-wide/macro camera and a 2 MP depth camera, giving its published rear setup a high-resolution main sensor and a specifically listed ultra-wide/macro option.
Both phones are listed with 50 MP front cameras. Those resolution figures do not establish which phone takes better photos: sensor processing, lenses, software, lighting, and video behavior also matter. No verified side-by-side camera results are available here, so do not treat 200 MP as proof that the HONOR 90 produces better images, or the Signature’s newer hardware as proof that it does not.

What should you expect from battery and charging?
HONOR lists the HONOR 90 at 5000 mAh typical capacity and 4900 mAh rated capacity, with up to 66W wired charging when used with the original SuperCharge charger and cable. HONOR notes that configuration and actual use can vary. Those are manufacturer specifications, not measured battery-life results.

Motorola’s search-result overview listed 5200 mAh and up to 90W wired and 50W wireless charging for the Signature, but its linked specification page returned 404 when opened. Treat those Signature figures as unconfirmed until you can check an accessible manufacturer specification for your market. Even if capacities are accurate, capacity alone cannot establish which phone lasts longer; screen settings, signal strength, workload, and software all affect endurance.

Is the HONOR 90 display easier on the eyes?
HONOR’s global product page advertises 3840 Hz PWM dimming and links its flicker-free claim to TÜV Rheinland certification. The same page qualifies the dimming behavior as taking effect when the refresh rate is set to 120 Hz. This is a manufacturer-stated display feature, not proof that every person will find the phone more comfortable. If you are sensitive to display flicker, try the phone at your preferred brightness and refresh settings before buying.
The available Signature launch coverage identifies the phone as a newer flagship, but does not establish a directly comparable display-comfort measurement. Do not assume one screen is more comfortable based on the HONOR figure alone.

Which phone is likely to stay current longer?
Motorola Signature launch reporting says the phone ships with Android 16 and carries a seven-year commitment for OS upgrades and security patches. That is a reported company commitment, not a record of updates already delivered. Comparable remaining-support information for the HONOR 90 has not been established, so its 2023 launch date alone cannot tell you exactly when support ends.
