What does Enhanced FOV do in Modern Warfare 4?
Enhanced FOV is a PC-exclusive display feature. Call of Duty says it uses physically accurate lens effects to increase the field of view near the edges of your monitor “without affecting the center FOV.” In practical terms, it is meant to add peripheral awareness while keeping the central view unchanged; it is not simply a conventional FOV increase that enlarges the view across the entire screen. The publisher has not described a single preferred setting for every display or player.
This may be relevant if you want to see more activity toward the sides of the screen, but it is a preference to evaluate on your own display. The official announcement does not provide a tested recommendation for particular resolutions, monitor shapes, or play styles.

Does Modern Warfare 4 have weapon bloom?
The official game announcement says bloom has been removed, describing hipfire shots as more direct, predictable, and connected to where the weapon is pointed. That wording means the announced change is removal of bloom—not the addition of a new random bloom effect. Read the publisher’s statement in its Modern Warfare 4 announcement.
A September 30, 2026 Dot Esports guide uses “Weapon Bloom” as a section heading and says shot direction is calculated from the weapon’s barrel position for both aimed-down-sights (ADS) and hipfire shots. That is the guide’s description of shot direction, not the publisher’s description of an added bloom system. The two phrasings should not be conflated.

Can your PC run Modern Warfare 4 at 90 FPS?
Dot Esports reports that the game supports 90 FPS at recommended PC specifications without manual settings changes. Treat that as a reported target, not a promise that every PC will reach or hold 90 FPS. The official PC announcement discusses high-frame-rate play and hardware scaling but does not give the 90 FPS figure in its page text; the reviewed material also does not establish a component-by-component PC requirements list or an independent performance test. The publisher says the game can scale across a wide range of hardware and can auto-configure settings, but those statements do not identify which processor or graphics card is needed for a particular frame rate. A high-refresh-rate monitor can display more frames when the PC produces them; buying one does not make a system render at 90 FPS.

Which resolutions and upscaling options are announced?
The official PC feature post lists support for 1080p, 1440p, and 4K displays, as well as ultrawide. It also names four image technologies:
- AMD FSR Redstone
- NVIDIA DLSS 4.5
- Intel XeSS 3
- Filmic SMAA T2X
These are announced options, not a tested ranking. Your practical choice depends on your GPU, display resolution, desired image quality, and preference for frame rate or responsiveness. The announcement does not establish that every technology will be available on every hardware configuration.

What other PC settings and input features are included?
Call of Duty’s PC announcement lists HDR10+, a global sharpness slider for upscalers, new shading and Filmic SMAA T2X settings, revised graphics settings, and sub-frame mouse polling. It also describes more than 800 customization options across graphics, gameplay, input devices, interface, and other areas. That count is the publisher’s figure; it does not mean there are 800 graphics settings.
The announced feature list offers several kinds of setup flexibility, but it does not supply recommended values for each control. For display decisions, weigh resolution and standard versus ultrawide format against the image-quality and frame-rate trade-offs you prefer; for visibility, consider whether Enhanced FOV’s peripheral emphasis suits you.
