For Dodgers fans in the team’s home television territory, SNLA+ is the local streaming choice for games carried by SportsNet LA. Outside that territory, MLB.TV is the relevant subscription for out-of-market games, subject to blackouts. MLB lists 2026 seasonal prices of $199.99 for SNLA+ and $29.99 for MLB.TV. Before subscribing, check whether your existing TV package already includes SportsNet LA and verify blackout eligibility for your ZIP code.
How the options differ
| Option | Best fit | 2026 price or access | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| SNLA+ seasonal | Viewers in the Dodgers’ home television territory who want to stream games carried by SportsNet LA | $199.99 for the season; MLB says the package includes 140+ Dodgers games and 24/7 SportsNet LA programming | Regular-season games exclusively broadcast by national networks are not included; home-territory eligibility applies. | MLB.TV | Viewers outside the Dodgers’ home territory who want out-of-market MLB games | $29.99 seasonal price on MLB’s 2026 package page | Live games are subject to home-territory blackouts and national exclusivities. MLB package page and blackout policy |
| SportsNet LA through a TV provider | Viewers who prefer a conventional channel or already have a qualifying package | The Dodgers say games other than national broadcasts are on SportsNet LA | Channel availability and total package cost depend on provider and address. Dodgers viewing guide |
| National broadcast | Viewers checking a specific game carried by a national partner | MLB’s 2026 SNLA+ announcement names FOX, ESPN, Peacock, NBC, and Apple as examples | Games exclusively carried by those national networks are outside the stated SNLA+ regular-season package. Check the game listing. MLB’s 2026 announcement |
Can you watch Dodgers games with MLB.TV in Los Angeles?
Do not count on MLB.TV for live Dodgers games in the team’s home television territory. MLB says home-territory blackouts apply whether the club is playing at home or away, and even when a game is not televised in that territory. A city name alone may not establish whether you are in or out of the restricted area, so use MLB’s ZIP-code restriction lookup before subscribing.
MLB.TV’s $29.99 2026 seasonal price is for out-of-market access, not a cheaper substitute for the local Dodgers package. Nationally exclusive games may also be unavailable through the standard MLB.TV stream.
What does SNLA+ include, and what does it leave out?
SNLA+ provides digital access to SportsNet LA programming through the MLB app and MLB.com, including the games carried by the network. MLB’s 2026 package description lists 140+ Dodgers games and 24/7 network programming for the $199.99 seasonal subscription. These are MLB’s published package details, not a guarantee that every Dodgers game appears in the service.

MLB’s September 1, 2026 announcement says regular-season games exclusively broadcast by national networks, including FOX, ESPN, Peacock, NBC, and Apple, are not included in SNLA+. The Dodgers’ viewing guide likewise says that games other than national broadcasts are televised on SportsNet LA. Check the broadcaster for the particular game you want to watch.
Could your current TV or internet service already include access?
Before buying a separate subscription, check your account and package terms. MLB describes authenticated SNLA+ access for qualifying Spectrum TV customers whose package includes SportsNet LA, certain Spectrum internet-plus-mobile customers, and DirecTV customers whose package carries SportsNet LA. Eligibility depends on the individual package and account; the provider or MLB account flow can confirm whether your access qualifies.

A provider’s channel listing and total price are address-specific. The official Dodgers guide identifies SportsNet LA as the channel for games other than national broadcasts, but it is not a complete provider-by-provider price comparison. Ask your provider whether SportsNet LA is included at your address and what the full package costs.
Which option should you choose?
If you are in Dodgers home territory
Choose between SNLA+ and a TV package carrying SportsNet LA based on the games you want, any access you already have, and the total cost. MLB.TV is not a dependable way to watch local live Dodgers games because home-territory restrictions apply.

The published $199.99 SNLA+ and $29.99 MLB.TV amounts are seasonal subscription prices. They do not include or determine a household’s broader TV or broadband costs, taxes, or provider-package charges. Those depend on your address and existing services.
