Mimestream’s iPhone and iPad app is available to eligible customers through a limited TestFlight beta, not yet as a public App Store release. To request access, sign in to your Mimestream account and look for the “Join TestFlight” banner. You need an active annual plan or an active monthly plan with at least six months of paid service, and invitations depend on available beta capacity.
Can you use Mimestream on iPhone or iPad?
Yes. Mimestream announced its iOS beta on July 14, 2026. The app is being distributed through Apple TestFlight for iPhone and iPad, but access is limited. Mimestream described the App Store release as being in its final stretch; it did not announce a public launch date.
The beta requires iOS 26 or later. The announcement covers both iPhone and iPad, so the stated requirement is the operating system version rather than a particular device model.
How to request a place in the Mimestream iOS beta
- Sign in to your Mimestream account.
- Check for the “Join TestFlight” banner. Use it to request access to the beta.
- Confirm your subscription qualifies. You need an active annual plan, or an active monthly plan with at least six months of paid service.
- Wait for an invitation if capacity is available. Eligibility does not guarantee a place; the beta is limited by TestFlight capacity.
TestFlight is Apple’s beta-distribution system. The invitation process is separate from downloading a public App Store version: Mimestream’s beta page does not list the iOS client as a public App Store release.

Mimestream has not given an official App Store release date in its beta announcement or beta information. The company said it was in the final stretch before release, but that wording is not a scheduled launch date. Until Mimestream publishes one, the iOS app should be treated as a limited beta rather than an app with a confirmed public-release day.

What Mimestream for iOS is likely to complement
Mimestream is a Gmail-focused email client. Its Mac launch announcement says the app uses the Gmail API rather than the older IMAP approach, and its FAQ says Gmail is the only supported email service. The Mac app’s feature set includes Gmail labels and inbox categories, server-side filters, snooze, Gmail search, multiple accounts, Profiles, and a Unified Inbox.
Those details describe Mimestream’s Mac product; they should not be taken as confirmation that every feature or workflow is already available in the iOS beta. The iOS announcement establishes the beta’s platform, eligibility, and distribution, but does not provide a complete feature-by-feature specification for the mobile app.

Mimestream’s May 22, 2023 Mac launch announcement reported more than 167,000 beta users, 220-plus updates, 2,500-plus improvements, and 100-plus new features. Those are historical figures about the Mac beta and launch, not iOS beta participation or current iOS adoption.

The practical distinction is availability and scope: Mimestream for Mac is an established Gmail client, while its iPhone and iPad app is still in a capacity-limited TestFlight beta. If you need an email app you can install publicly today, the Mimestream iOS beta is not a dependable substitute until you receive an invitation or the App Store release arrives. If you already use Mimestream on Mac and qualify, TestFlight offers a way to try the mobile app before public release.

Mimestream’s Mac development remains active: its release notes listed version 1.10.8 as the latest stable Mac version on September 4, 2026. That update history is evidence about the Mac app, not a timetable for the iOS release.
