hi-Tech.ua reported that Xbox leader Asha Sharma told employees some first-party game metrics had risen to two to three times their low point after an extended decline. The company did not identify the metrics or disclose their starting and current values. The ratio therefore cannot be read as a specific increase in players, play time, sales, or revenue.
The report associates the improvement with Gears of War: E-Day, Minecraft Dungeons 2, and World of Warcraft: Forever, but provides no title-level figures or evidence that any one project caused the change. It also says an internal Xbox brand-loyalty measure increased 30% year over year; its definition, baseline, and methodology are not disclosed. Why the report does not establish a full recovery
The same report says annual Xbox revenue fell by $1.7 billion and hardware sales declined 29%. It does not provide a clear comparison period or an underlying filing in its accessible text, so those figures should be treated as hi-Tech.ua’s reported numbers, not as independently verified results. The apparent improvement in some internal game measures and the reported financial and hardware declines can coexist; they describe different outcomes, and the available account does not explain their relationship.

How Game Pass is being repositioned
The report portrays Game Pass as part of a strategic reassessment after the prior growth approach contributed to weaker financial results. It says a price increase was followed by the loss of millions of subscribers, then describes a later price revision. It also reports that new Call of Duty releases would no longer automatically enter the catalog on launch day. The accessible account gives no exact subscriber figures, dates, or terms for these changes.
hi-Tech.ua also describes possible future choices among content categories, but no finalized plan or launch date is established. Does Microsoft still plan to make Xbox consoles?
