Meshy describes a workflow for turning a text prompt or reference image into a 3D model, checking and repairing it, and exporting it for a slicer. The advertised 60% first-month discount is not verified by the official pricing pages reviewed: Meshy currently describes a 50% first-month offer for eligible new monthly-plan subscribers. Check the live offer and checkout terms before subscribing.
What Meshy 7 can do in a 3D-printing workflow
Meshy presents Meshy 7 as a 3D-generation option that can work from image input. Its documented workflow is to provide a description or reference, generate a model, check it for printability, make repairs or split the model if needed, then export it for preparation in a slicer. Meshy outlines this workflow on its 3D-printing page and in its print-file help article.
These checks and repair tools can help identify or address problems, but Meshy’s product descriptions do not establish that every generated model will print successfully without manual review. The slicer stage remains important: it is where you prepare the model for a particular printer and print job.
From prompt or image to a printable file
- Start with a prompt or reference. Describe the object you want, or provide an image where the image-to-3D flow supports it. Meshy’s help article says users can choose Meshy 6 or Meshy 7 for that flow.
- Generate and inspect the model. Review the result for missing details, fragile features, unsupported geometry, and whether its size and shape suit your intended print.
- Run the printability check. Use Meshy’s checking and repair tools as needed. Treat their results as assistance, not a substitute for inspecting the model.
- Repair or split when appropriate. A model may need cleanup or division into parts before it is practical to print. Check how separate parts will fit together and whether the intended printer can handle their dimensions.
- Export and slice. Meshy lists STL, 3MF, and OBJ exports. It names Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, Creality Print, and Cura as downstream slicers. Confirm that the exported file imports correctly, then configure the slicer for your printer and material.
- Print and assess the result. Meshy’s described process ends with printing on an FDM or resin printer. The printer, material, and slicer settings affect the physical result; Meshy does not remove those steps.
What the export and pass-rate claims mean
STL, 3MF, and OBJ are the export formats Meshy identifies for its 3D-printing workflow. The page also names several slicers, but does not promise that every model or every export will work perfectly with every printer setup. Open the export in your chosen slicer and review the preview before sending a job to the printer.

Meshy’s 3D Agent page reports a 97% slicer pass rate from an internal test. That is a vendor-reported result, not an independent benchmark; the page does not establish enough testing detail to generalize the figure to your model, slicer, or printer. Meshy also gives workflow timing estimates on its printing page, but those are vendor estimates rather than independently measured guarantees.
Credits and usage rights to check before generating
Meshy’s pricing documentation lists a full Meshy 7 generation at 20 credits, or 25 credits when Ultra Mode is enabled. Credit costs and plan terms can change, so check the current Meshy pricing and credits documentation before planning repeated generations.

The same documentation says free-plan outputs use CC BY 4.0, while paid plans support commercial use. These are materially different usage terms: review Meshy’s current terms and the applicable plan conditions before using an output commercially, and follow any attribution requirement that applies to your output.
Is the first month 60% off?
The 60% figure in the advertised title is not substantiated by the official pages reviewed. Meshy’s pricing page describes a regular 50% discount on the first month for new users on monthly plans, and 20% off annual plans. Its plan-comparison help page likewise describes a 50% first-month offer for new subscribers on Pro, Premium, or Ultra.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who is this workflow for?
Meshy may suit someone who wants to create a starting 3D model from a prompt or image and then prepare it for a slicer. It is not a replacement for checking model geometry, choosing suitable print settings, or owning access to a compatible FDM or resin printer. If you need predictable fit, strength, or dimensions, inspect and validate the model in your modeling and slicing workflow rather than relying on generation or automated checks alone.
