The promotion reportedly began October 2, 2026, but Macy’s has not announced a confirmed online drop time, and current Macy’s stock and promo fulfillment are unverified.
What the Mewtwo offer requires
A statement attributed to The Pokémon Company International and reproduced by PokeGuardian says shoppers who spend $15 or more on Pokémon TCG products at participating U.S. retailers receive the Mewtwo promo card as a gift with purchase. Macy’s is named as one of those retailers. The offer was reported to be available online and in stores while supplies last.
The $15 threshold applies to Pokémon TCG products, not just any purchase at Macy’s. The available reporting does not establish which Macy’s listings qualify, whether the promo is added automatically, or whether a particular online order will receive one. Check the current Macy’s product listing and offer terms before ordering; retailer participation alone does not guarantee a card.
When to go online at Macy’s
No official Macy’s online release time was reported. Anecdotes about Pokémon stock appearing around 6 a.m. PT or noon PT during earlier drops are not a schedule and do not establish a time for this offer. Since the reported start date was October 2 and it is now October 3, neither time should be treated as a current or confirmed instruction.

Macy’s events page listed other activities, including a Pokémon Trade & Play activity-pack event at select stores on October 14, but did not list the Mewtwo promo giveaway. That October 14 activity is separate and does not confirm Mewtwo-card availability.
How to check before placing an order
- Open Macy’s current Pokémon TCG product listings and identify the item you intend to buy.
- Look for explicit language on the product page or checkout indicating that the Mewtwo promo is included with a qualifying $15-or-more purchase.
- If the listing does not explain eligibility or fulfillment, contact Macy’s before buying. The available reporting does not confirm live stock or which online products qualify.
Pokémon’s 30th Celebration expansion was announced with more than 150 cards and released September 16, 2026. That is expansion context, not confirmation that any particular product listing qualifies for Macy’s offer.

Do not confuse it with the Japanese 30th promo pack
Pokémon’s official Japanese anniversary site describes a different 30th promo pack: one pack is offered as a Gym Battle participation prize from September 16, 2026 through January 31, 2027, with additional distribution at specified anniversary events. Supplies are limited and distribution may change. This is a Japan-focused event route, not the U.S. Macy’s Mewtwo gift-with-purchase offer.
