Instead of relying on a conventional mechanical switch to determine a click, HITS combines inductive sensing of button depth with synchronized haptic feedback. You can configure when each main button actuates, when it resets, and how strongly the click pulse feels.
Does it really ditch mechanical switches?
Yes, but only in the specific sense Logitech documents: HITS replaces the traditional microswitches in the main-button click mechanism. That does not establish that every mechanical component has been removed from the entire mouse. The shell, wheel and other assemblies are separate parts whose construction is not detailed in the reviewed product material.
In an ordinary gaming mouse, a mechanical switch changes state as its mechanism moves far enough to register a press. Logitech says HITS measures button travel with an inductive electromagnetic sensor instead. Software then applies your actuation and reset settings, while a haptic motor produces the tactile pulse that makes the electronic event feel like a click.
What are haptic clicks?
A haptic click is a physical sensation generated by a motor rather than by the click mechanism itself reaching a fixed mechanical trigger point. On the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE, Logitech says the pulse is synchronized with the registered click, so the sensation should occur when the configured threshold is reached.
#1 Best Overall
- HERO Gaming Sensor: Next generation HERO mouse sensor delivers precision tracking up to 25600 DPI with zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration
- 11 programmable buttons and dual mode hyper-fast scroll wheel: The Logitech wired gaming mouse gives you fully customizable control over your gameplay
- Adjustable weights: Match your playing style. Arrange up to five 3.6 g weights for a personalized weight and balance configuration
- LIGHTSYNC technology: Logitech G LIGHTSYNC technology provides fully customizable RGB lighting that can also synchronize with your gaming (requires Logitech Gaming Software)
- Mechanical Switch Button Tensioning: A metal spring tensioning system and metal pivot hinges are built into left and right computer gaming mouse buttons for a crisp, clean click feel with rapid click feedback
This separation lets the sensing threshold and the strength of the feedback be adjusted independently within the options Logitech exposes in its product software. Haptics are therefore not merely cosmetic vibration: they are part of how the mouse communicates an electronically defined click.
How does the Logitech PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE work?
Inductive depth sensing
When you press a main button, an inductive sensor detects how far it has moved by monitoring an electromagnetic field. Logitech presents this as the replacement for the traditional microswitch’s fixed actuation behavior.
Configurable actuation
Logitech’s product page lists 10 actuation points for each main button. The actuation point is the travel threshold at which a press registers. A shorter setting can register earlier in the button’s movement; a deeper setting requires more travel. The exact physical travel associated with each option is not stated on the reviewed page.

Rapid-trigger reset
The mouse offers five rapid-trigger reset points for both main buttons. Reset determines how far the button must return before another click can register. This is intended to reduce the need to release the button all the way to a conventional fixed reset position, although the reviewed material does not independently establish a resulting advantage in any particular game.
Adjustable haptic feedback
There are six haptic-intensity levels. Logitech says the settings apply to both main keys. The reviewed product page does not specify the vibration force or the battery impact of each level.
G HUB control
Logitech identifies G HUB as the software used to adjust the click settings. The supplied product information does not specify a complete operating-system requirement list or whether every setting can be changed without the software running.

What Logitech claims about speed and hardware
The following figures are manufacturer specifications or claims, not independent test results:
| Feature | Logitech’s stated figure | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Click latency | Up to 30 ms lower | An “up to” comparison claim; the reviewed material does not establish the test setup, baseline mouse, or performance at every configuration. |
| Sensor | HERO 2, up to 44,000 DPI | Maximum tracking-resolution setting listed by Logitech, not a recommendation to use 44,000 DPI. |
| Wireless report rate | LIGHTSPEED, up to 8 kHz | Maximum polling figure claimed by Logitech; independent confirmation and simultaneous-use conditions were not established. |
| Battery | Up to 90 hours | A maximum claim whose runtime depends on settings and usage; no test result was supplied. |
Because these are Logitech-authored figures, they should not be read as proof that the mouse is objectively fastest, that every user will see a 30 ms reduction, or that a lower click latency improves aim or match results.

How customizable is the click?
For each primary button, the relevant controls are:
Rank #4
- Icon reinvented: From the legacy of Logitech’s most popular G502 design, G502 X PLUS is reimagined and redesigned with the latest innovations in gaming technology; available in black and white
- LIGHTFORCE switches: All-new hybrid optical-mechanical switch technology for incredible speed and reliability, as well as precise actuation with crisp response, for hours of performance gaming
- LIGHTSYNC RGB: This RGB gaming mouse features glowing 8-LED lighting that’s customizable and adapts as you game with startup/power-down effects and battery optimisation through active play detection
- LIGHTSPEED wireless: This wireless mouse features pro-grade connectivity, with an updated protocol achieving 68 percent faster response rate than the previous generation and improved reliability
- HERO 25K gaming sensor: Incredibly precise down to the sub-micron for high-precision accuracy with zero smoothing/filtering/acceleration for high gaming performance every time on the computer
- 10 selectable actuation points;
- 5 selectable rapid-trigger reset points; and
- 6 haptic-intensity levels.
That combination is the central difference from a conventional mouse whose switch hardware fixes the actuation and reset behavior. It also creates trade-offs: a setting that feels immediate may be less comfortable or more prone to accidental activation for some users, while a stronger tactile pulse may be more noticeable during long sessions. Logitech’s reviewed materials do not provide independent comfort testing or a universal best setting.
Release history and development claims
Logitech’s launch article gives February 10, 2026 as the product’s release and availability date. Logitech’s engineering retrospective says the mouse was first publicly shown at the Logitech G PLAY keynote on September 17, 2025.
The company says more than 100 esports professionals participated in development. Its retrospective also describes a test in which Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov reached 14 clicks per second. Those are Logitech-reported development anecdotes, not controlled independent comparisons.

What professional-player comments do—and do not—show
Logitech published several favorable player testimonials:
- Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov said, “The click is instantly faster. You feel it the moment you play, and the customization allowed me to achieve my perfect click.”
- Kscerato of FURIA called it “the best click I’ve ever felt in my life.”
- Siwoo of Dplus KIA said adjustable sensitivity felt more comfortable and reduced fatigue during extended gaming sessions.
- benjyfishy of Team Heretics called it the most customizable mouse he had used.
These statements communicate the players’ experiences as presented by Logitech. They are not representative user research, blinded testing, or independent evidence of a competitive advantage.
How much does the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE cost?
On September 27, 2026, Logitech’s US product page showed the Lunar Eclipse model at $179.99 with the label “In stock. Ready to ship.” This is a dated US Logitech-store snapshot, not an Amazon price or a guarantee of future stock, shipping terms or regional pricing. Logitech’s EU product-page result showed €179.99, but regional availability and prices can change.
Who should consider it?
It may suit you if
- You specifically want adjustable actuation and release behavior on the main buttons.
- You prefer a tactile confirmation that can be tuned rather than a fixed mechanical-switch feel.
- You are willing to configure profiles in G HUB and pay a premium for this click system.
Be cautious if
- You need independent latency or battery measurements before buying.
- You prefer a known mechanical-switch feel and do not need adjustable thresholds.
- You are comparing value strictly on published specifications; the $179.99 US price is substantially tied to the HITS mechanism and customization rather than a proven match-performance gain.
Bottom line
The PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE’s meaningful change is its primary-click architecture: Logitech replaces conventional microswitches with inductive depth sensing plus synchronized haptic feedback. Ten actuation points, five rapid-trigger reset points and six haptic levels make it unusually configurable. Logitech also advertises up to 30 ms lower click latency, 44,000 DPI, 8 kHz polling and 90-hour battery life, but those remain manufacturer claims rather than independently demonstrated outcomes. At the dated US-store price of $179.99, its value depends on whether that configurable haptic click is useful to you—not on an established guarantee of faster wins.
