For streaming a live camera from an Android phone, Larix Broadcaster is the better fit when you need encoder controls, protocol flexibility or a USB camera; PRISM Live Studio is better for a guided, creator-focused mobile workflow with overlays and effects. Neither app is proven to keep a phone broadcast running uninterrupted 24/7. If you mean looping prerecorded video rather than broadcasting a live camera, a cloud service such as StreamNeo is a different and more suitable category.
First, clarify what “24/7 stream” means
A phone app can send a live camera feed to YouTube, but that is not the same as keeping prerecorded videos looping on a channel around the clock. Larix Broadcaster and PRISM Live Studio are mobile broadcasting apps. Their features can help you configure and produce a phone-originated stream; the reviewed sources do not establish uninterrupted 24/7 phone operation.
- Live camera from an Android phone: choose between Larix and PRISM based on your setup and production needs.
- Continuous loop of uploaded or prerecorded video: consider a cloud-based streaming service, which runs the playback independently of your phone. YouTube’s encoder documentation also points to cloud-based services for prerecorded 24/7 streaming.

Choose the app that fits your phone workflow
Choose Larix for control and external video input
Larix is the stronger choice if you want an encoder-style setup, need to choose among supported connection protocols, or plan to connect a compatible USB camera or capture card through USB OTG. Its Google Play listing includes adaptive bitrate, overlays and auto-start among its professional features. The listing places removal of the time limit in Premium; check the current listing for subscription price and exact terms before relying on it.

- Please note, this device does not support E-SIM; This 4G model is compatible with all GSM networks worldwide outside of the U.S. In the US, ONLY compatible with T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro and Standup). It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).
- Compatibility with certain third-party devices and accessibility accessories, including some hearing aids, may vary depending on manufacturer support, Bluetooth protocols, software compatibility, and regional firmware limitations. For additional hearing aid compatibility information, please refer to Samsung’s official support documentation.
- Camera: 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/2.76", 0.64µm, AF | 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/2.76", 0.64µm, AF | 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro). Battery: 5000 mAh, non-removable | A power adapter is NOT included.
For a basic broadcast using the phone’s own camera, an OTG adapter is not necessary. For an external source, first confirm that your phone supports USB OTG host mode and that the camera or capture card is compatible. An adapter alone does not guarantee that every USB video source will work.
Choose PRISM for a guided, visual mobile production
PRISM is the better fit if you want a more creator-oriented phone workflow, visual effects or overlays, and documented options to connect a YouTube account or configure custom RTMP. Its FAQ describes adaptive bitrate: the app analyzes network conditions and can adjust bitrate and frame rate to favor a stable broadcast, potentially reducing picture quality.

Set up a YouTube stream from Android
- Confirm the channel can go live. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have live-streaming restrictions within the prior 90 days. Enabling live streaming for the first time may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave first-time activation until the planned broadcast.
- Decide whether to use account linking or custom RTMP. PRISM documents a YouTube account workflow as well as custom RTMP. For a custom RTMP setup, open YouTube Studio’s live dashboard and retrieve the stream URL and stream key. In the encoder app, select the matching YouTube or custom RTMP option and enter the requested details.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password: do not publish it, show it on screen or send it to someone who should not be able to broadcast to your channel. If it is exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio before streaming again.
- Configure the app and test privately or with a short test stream. Check the incoming picture and sound, network stability, phone temperature, charging arrangement and whether the app remains active in the background as intended. PRISM’s mobile guides document background broadcasting and adaptive-bitrate configuration topics; exact menus can vary by app version.
- End the broadcast in the app. PRISM’s FAQ recommends using its Finish button to safely end a broadcast. Depending on a platform’s RTMP behavior, transmission may continue even when the viewer-facing stream appears to have ended.
For Larix, choose the protocol and destination appropriate to the YouTube configuration. For PRISM custom RTMP, use the URL and key shown in YouTube’s live dashboard. The labels and app screens may change, so follow the current app and YouTube instructions rather than assuming an older menu path.

Plan around YouTube’s 12-hour archive caveat
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. The under-12-hour approach is an archive-retention precaution, not a claim that YouTube requires every stream to stop by then.
- If you need a YouTube archive, plan separate sessions shorter than 12 hours rather than relying on one longer broadcast.
- Keep a local recording backup for material you cannot recreate. YouTube recommends making a local archive backup.
- Remember that ending and restarting sessions does not establish that either phone app will maintain a seamless, uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast.
Which is better for a truly continuous channel?
For a live camera feed, Larix offers the more technical toolset and PRISM the more guided visual workflow; neither has a verified 24/7 reliability guarantee in the reviewed material. Indian mobile coverage, handoffs, phone thermals, power and the exact device can all affect a real deployment. Trial the precise setup before making it the sole source for an important channel.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use either app for a live camera stream from Android?
Yes. Both are mobile broadcasting options for a live phone-originated stream; choose based on the control and production workflow you need.
Does a stream key let someone control my YouTube account?
It lets an encoder send a broadcast to the associated channel, so protect it like a credential and reset it if exposed.
