First identify whether Larix stopped publishing, YouTube received a poor-quality stream, or viewers lost playback after YouTube received it. Compare Larix’s status with YouTube Live Control Room during a short private or unlisted test; then check the destination, sustainable upload bitrate, Larix reconnect settings and Airtel’s local network conditions.
Find out which part of the stream is failing
A disconnect seen by a viewer does not, by itself, show that Airtel caused it. The stream passes through the phone and Larix, the mobile data connection, YouTube’s ingest system, and YouTube playback. The point where the failure appears determines what to check next.
- Start a short private or unlisted test stream, if that option is available for your setup.
- Keep Larix and YouTube Live Control Room open or otherwise observable at the same time.
- Note the time of the failure, Larix’s exact status or error, and YouTube’s stream-health message.
- Larix reports a publishing disconnect: investigate the destination details, app and device behavior, and the phone’s outbound connection.
- YouTube receives video but reports stream-health problems: inspect the stream configuration and the video actually being sent.
- YouTube reports a healthy incoming stream, but playback stops for viewers: the fault may be downstream of Larix publishing rather than a Larix-to-YouTube disconnect.
YouTube’s encoder workflow uses Live Control Room and calls for the encoder to be configured with the server URL and stream key for the intended stream. YouTube Help: Create a live stream with an encoder.
Verify the YouTube destination in Larix
In the YouTube setup for the stream you intend to start, confirm the current server URL and stream key, then check that Larix is configured with those values. A saved key or URL from a different stream setup may not be the right destination. Copy the current values from YouTube rather than relying on an old note or preset. YouTube’s instructions are to enter the server URL and stream key in the encoder.

This check is worthwhile, but it is not proof that an incorrect key caused your disconnect. Use the simultaneous Larix and Live Control Room observations to distinguish a destination issue from a network or stream-health issue.
Check whether Airtel upload can sustain your output
A speed test’s brief peak is not the same as a mobile connection sustaining an outgoing live video stream. During a representative test, look at Larix’s actual outgoing bitrate and YouTube’s stream-health information. If the connection cannot sustain the configured output, lower the video bitrate, resolution or frame rate and test again.

There is no universal bitrate that can be recommended for every Airtel location, handset and stream. Softvelum documents adaptive-bitrate modes for Larix, and YouTube’s mobile-encoder guidance identifies Larix as a supported encoder; neither establishes one setting that will work on all Airtel connections. - Judge the bitrate using a test from the place and time where you normally stream.
- If stream health degrades or Larix loses publishing while the output is high, reduce bitrate first and retest; if needed, also reduce resolution or frame rate.
- Change one setting at a time where practical, so you can tell whether the adjustment helped.
Check Larix reconnection behavior
Larix has configurable retry behavior. Softvelum documents a reconnect timeout and a “Don’t check network presence” option, as well as iOS-specific controls for reconnect without network timeout, idle timeout and unsent threshold. In particular, an iOS reconnect timeout set to “Never” means Larix will not reconnect.

Open the settings in the Larix version installed on your device and check the available reconnect controls. Labels and availability can vary by platform and app version, so do not assume an Android menu path or iOS control applies to every installation. Check Airtel conditions where and when you stream
Airtel Open Network provides a coverage view, data diagnostics, personalized tips and local outage information. Its coverage predictions are based on outdoor estimates and can differ from real experience because of location and surroundings. Use the diagnostics for the actual streaming location and check for an outage around the time of a failure. If tests repeatedly point to the carrier, record the location and failure times before contacting support; that gives Airtel a more useful basis for investigating the issue.
Try basic mobile-data checks
These are general connectivity checks, not Larix-specific fixes. Airtel’s 4G troubleshooting guidance suggests checking remaining data, briefly toggling Airplane Mode, restarting the phone, checking device settings and contacting Airtel if problems continue.

- Check that you have data remaining and that mobile data is enabled.
- Briefly turn Airplane Mode on, then off, and retest the connection.
- Restart the phone if the problem persists.
- Check the device’s network settings and run Airtel’s local diagnostics.
- If failures continue and the evidence points to Airtel, contact the provider. Airtel lists 121 for enquiries and 198 for complaints.
