In Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade, “damage,” “support,” and “tank” are useful shorthand for what a character mainly contributes in a team battle—not a confirmed, complete set of official character classes. Think of them as ways to compare a character’s skills with what your team and the current stage need.
What do character roles mean in Phantom Parade?
Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade is a team-based mobile RPG. The official Japanese site describes creating your own team to exorcise powerful curses, while the global Google Play listing categorizes the game as a role-playing game. Neither source establishes “damage,” “support,” and “tank” as a definitive official taxonomy. Players and community guides use role language as a practical way to discuss team contributions.
A role describes a character’s main contribution, not necessarily everything that character can do. A unit might deal meaningful damage and also help allies, for example. Judge the skills themselves rather than assuming a character fits only one category.
What does a damage dealer do?
A damage dealer contributes by reducing enemies’ health and helping the team defeat them. When comparing characters, consider what their attacks can damage and how that contribution fits the encounter. The sources reviewed do not provide a verified, current ranking or a complete character-by-character assignment, so a role label alone is not enough to identify the strongest choice.

What does a support do?
A support helps the team perform better or makes opponents easier to handle. Useful comparison points include effects that strengthen allies and effects that hinder enemies. A character can also deal damage while providing these benefits; “support” describes a useful part of the kit rather than an exclusive class.
What does a tank do?
“Tank” is a practical term for a character whose tools help the team withstand incoming pressure, absorb it, or redirect it. Check whether the character’s actual skills offer survival or redirection effects before treating the label as a fit. The sources reviewed do not establish a complete official tank category or a fixed list of characters in that role.

How do these roles work together?
A team can center on one main damage source and use other characters to enable that unit. A community beginner guide offers a damage dealer supported by multiple enabling units as an example, not a universal formation rule. The right balance depends on the stage: a lineup that helps one encounter may not answer another encounter’s demands.

- Fight curses and be in the action - Yuji Itadori was living a normal life before he got involved with Megumi Fushiguro and entered the world of sorcerers after eating one of Sukuna's fingers and becoming the vessel for one of the most powerful cursed spirits in the show. Yuji joins Tokyo Jujutsu High and not only has to be the vessel for the King of Curses but, he also has to learn everything about being a sorcerer, get along with Nobara, and keep up with everything that Satoru throws his way

- What enemies or targets can this character damage?
- What effects does the character provide to allies?
- Can the character weaken or otherwise hinder opponents?
- Does the kit help the team survive incoming pressure or redirect it?
- Which of those contributions addresses the current stage’s needs?
How should you compare characters?
Compare the skills in the version of the game you are playing, then connect those effects to the encounter. Damage output, ally buffs, enemy debuffs, and survival or redirection tools are useful comparison axes—not an official in-game score or ranking system. Current “best” choices can depend on the version, stage, and characters available to your roster. The sources reviewed do not support a current character ranking or a fixed mapping of named characters to roles.
The official Japanese site presents the game as an iOS/Android RPG, and the global Google Play listing identifies BILIBILI HK LIMITED as publisher and describes the game as free to play with in-app purchases. Store availability and listing details can vary by region; check your own store listing for current download information.
