Do you have to pay for RuneScape: Dragonwilds?
Yes. The base game requires a purchase. Jagex’s game-specific EULA describes a one-off payment and says a subscription or regular in-game transaction is not required to access the game’s content.
Jagex announced the full game at $29.99 in the US and £24.99 in the UK, and said that price would remain the same after the 1.0 launch. The Steam US storefront displayed $29.99 for Standard and $39.99 for Deluxe when checked. These are not guaranteed prices for every region or at every time; confirm the price and edition on your platform’s live store before buying. Is Dragonwilds included with Game Pass or PlayStation Plus?
Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium are separate subscription-library options for eligible subscribers. If the game is in the catalogue for your region and subscription tier, that may provide a way to play without buying a separate copy while your access qualifies. It does not change the game’s paid, non-free-to-play status. Catalogue availability can change, so check the current listing for your region and tier. When did Dragonwilds leave Early Access?
The full 1.0 release was September 15, 2026. As of October 4, 2026, the game has left Early Access. Jagex’s Early Access FAQ said that existing purchasers would retain access when the game transitioned to full release; see the Early Access FAQ. Jagex also reported more than one million Early Access sales in its 2026 launch announcement; that is a publisher-reported figure, not an independently audited count.
Which editions and platforms are available?
Jagex lists PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 as launch platforms. On PC, the listed storefronts are Steam, the Jagex Launcher, and Epic Games Store.
