No. The headline’s 50% off Google One offer is a past promotion, not a deal you can still claim. Android Central reported the limited-time offer on December 24, 2025, and 9to5Google later reported that the 2026 discount for new subscribers ended on January 15, 2026. The discounted prices were reported in US dollars and are historical, not current plan prices.
What the 50% off offer included
Android Central’s December 24, 2025 report described two annual plans at half price for new users: the 2TB storage plan for $50 per year, down from $100, and Google AI Pro for $100 per year, down from $200. Those figures describe the reported promotion; they are not verified prices for today or for every country. Read Android Central’s report.
9to5Google reported that Google’s 2026 50% discount for new subscribers ended January 15, 2026. The sources do not establish complete country-by-country terms, the original campaign end date, or what billing would have cost after the promotional period. Read 9to5Google’s report.
What Google One plans offer now
Google’s current US plan comparison lists storage tiers that include 400GB, 2TB, 5TB, 20TB, and 30TB. That menu does not establish the price or availability a particular customer will see: Google says costs, savings, feature eligibility, and usable capacity can vary by region, subscriptions, and plan terms. Check the live plan page while signed in and confirm the terms for your country before subscribing. See Google One plans.
