Game Republic New Horizons is a ticketed games-industry conference and expo, not a free walk-in attraction. The 2026 edition took place at Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough from 14–16 October, with the main conference day on 15 October. As of 19 October 2026, that edition is over and there is no 2026 admission ticket to buy. Anyone considering a future edition should rely on the organiser’s live event page and checkout terms, because ticket prices, dates, party access and eligibility can change.
Is Game Republic New Horizons open to the public?
New Horizons is presented as a flagship games-industry conference rather than a general public festival. Its advertised programme combines a conference, expo, networking, an Investor Zone, MeetToMatch meetings, masterclasses, technology deep-dives and social events. The organiser directs visitors to a “Grab your Ticket” route, which indicates registration and payment rather than unrestricted admission at the door.
The practical answer is therefore ticketed access for an industry-oriented event. Developers, studio leaders, publishers, investors, creative-industry organisations and related businesses are the clearest intended audience. The event is not described as a free attraction where anybody can simply walk in.

Can anyone buy a ticket, or must you work in games?
The reviewed event information does not state that every buyer must prove employment in games, nor does it promise that the general public can attend without conditions. A person outside the games business may be able to purchase a ticket if the organiser’s registration system accepts the application, but that possibility is not the same as a published guarantee of unrestricted public admission.

For a future edition, treat the checkout page as the controlling source. Read whether registration asks for a company, role, business category or other credentials, and check any wording about professional eligibility before paying. If the form is unclear, ask Game Republic directly rather than assuming that a consumer, student or child ticket exists.
When was the 2026 event held?
The 2026 programme was scheduled across 14–16 October 2026. The principal conference day was 15 October, with the wider programme covering the surrounding expo, meetings and social activity. Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough was the main venue for the conference and expo.
Because the current date is 19 October 2026, the 2026 programme is no longer available for new registration. Old announcement pages may still show a ticket button or a historical price, but those references should not be treated as a live offer. A future edition will need a new date and a new checkout.

How much did New Horizons tickets cost?
Several prices were published for different editions and sales windows. They are historical figures, not a current 2026 rate after the event has finished.
| Edition and offer | Published price | Deadline or limitation | How to interpret it now |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2026 early-bird ticket | £149 | Available through the stated March/April 2026 deadline in the advisory-board announcement | Historical 2026 launch pricing; no longer purchasable |
| 2026 advance ticket | £199 | Advertised through the end of July 2026 | Historical advance rate; not a live price |
| 2025 inaugural early-bird offer | £99 + VAT | Up to 50 tickets for eligible games, creative and related business leaders reserving before 28 July 2025 | Previous-edition promotion; it does not set the 2026 or future rate |
The different figures show why a future buyer should check the edition, sales phase, tax treatment and eligibility attached to the price. An early-bird amount can expire while the event page remains online, and the 2025 offer had both a quantity cap and a defined professional audience.
What does a conference ticket cover?
The published New Horizons programme has included several distinct elements. A ticket may be valuable for the meetings and business access as much as for stage sessions, but inclusion should be verified for the specific pass being sold.

| Programme element | What it is for | What to verify at checkout |
|---|---|---|
| Main conference | Talks and industry programming, centred on the principal conference day | Which dates and sessions the pass admits you to |
| Expo | 展示 space for companies, projects, technology and services | Whether expo access is included in every ticket type |
| MeetToMatch | Pre-arranged business meetings between participating organisations | Whether your pass includes the meeting platform, booking rights and any participation rules |
| Investor Zone | Investor-focused conversations and introductions | Whether access is open to all delegates or restricted by role or application |
| Masterclasses and tech deep-dives | More focused educational or technical sessions | Whether sessions require advance booking or have limited capacity |
| Networking and parties | Informal meetings and social opportunities around the core programme | Which receptions or parties are included, and whether separate tickets apply |
Side-event access is not automatically identical to conference access. The organiser said the Dead by Daylight pre-party was free for GR New Horizons ticket holders, while party tickets would be released separately. That arrangement was edition-specific, so a future buyer should not assume every party is included or that a separate ticket will always be available.
Is there an age limit, child ticket or supervision rule?
No official minimum age, child-ticket policy, supervision requirement or identification rule was stated on the event overview and organiser news pages reviewed. The professional nature of the programme does not establish a legal age restriction, and it would be unsafe to infer one from the venue or the presence of evening events.
For a future edition, look for an age or entry section in the live registration terms and any individual party rules. If those terms are silent, contact Game Republic before booking and ask specifically about:

- the minimum age for the conference and expo;
- whether a parent, guardian or responsible adult must accompany a minor;
- whether children need their own paid ticket;
- what identification is accepted at registration; and
- whether evening parties have stricter age requirements than daytime sessions.
Until the organiser publishes those conditions, the only accurate answer is that the age policy is not stated on the reviewed pages.
Where is New Horizons held, and what access help is available?
The main venue is Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough. The official event site provides separate “Getting Here” and “Accommodation” guidance, so attendees should use those sections for the current travel, parking and hotel information rather than relying on an old social post or a previous year’s arrangements.
When planning a future visit, confirm the exact building or entrance shown in the event instructions, the opening time for registration, and whether any meeting or party venue is elsewhere. A conference ticket establishes admission; it does not by itself reserve accommodation, transport or a place at a capacity-limited side event.

What kind of audience and networking scale should you expect?
Game Republic reported that the inaugural 2025 event attracted more than 250 developers, studio leaders and creative-industry participants. In a 2026 account, Managing Director Jamie Sefton said that more than a third of attendees came from outside the region, 89% had secured new contacts, 28% had secured a new project or deal, and MeetToMatch hosted more than 100 meetings.
Those are reported outcomes from the 2025 event, not a guaranteed result for every delegate or future edition. They do explain why the organiser positions New Horizons as a business conference: the value proposition is access to people, meetings and deals as well as talks. Sefton described the previous conference as having “the clear potential for the event to be an international flagship games industry conference that takes place in The North.”
How to check a future edition before paying
Use this sequence when a new New Horizons announcement appears:

Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstall- Confirm the edition and dates. Make sure the page refers to the year you intend to attend and states the conference, expo and any surrounding programme days.
- Open the live checkout. Do not rely on a cached announcement, a screenshot or a price copied from an earlier year.
- Read the audience wording. Check whether the pass is open to any buyer or limited to games, creative or related business participants.
- Compare ticket types. Record the price, deadline, tax treatment, included programme days, conference and expo access, Investor Zone and MeetToMatch rights.
- Check social access separately. Look for VIP receptions, pre-parties and other events that may be included, capacity-limited or sold separately.
- Find the cancellation and transfer terms. These determine what happens if your plans change or the event is postponed.
- Look for age and ID rules. If no rule is published, obtain written clarification before purchasing for a minor or attending a party.
- Plan the venue logistics. Use the current “Getting Here” and “Accommodation” pages and allow time for registration and scheduled meetings.
Common access mistakes to avoid
- Turning an old price into a current price: £149 and £199 were 2026 sales-stage figures, while £99 + VAT belonged to a limited 2025 promotion.
- Assuming “industry conference” means proof of employment is mandatory: no such universal requirement was published, but unrestricted public admission was not promised either.
- Assuming the absence of an age rule means children are automatically admitted: the reviewed pages simply did not state a policy.
- Assuming a conference pass includes every party: the Dead by Daylight pre-party arrangement demonstrates that side-event treatment can be specific to an edition.
- Using a previous year’s logistics: venue instructions, entrances, hotels and meeting arrangements can change even when the stadium remains the principal venue.
Bottom line for prospective attendees
New Horizons should be approached as a paid, professional games-industry event with an expo and structured networking, not as a public attraction with guaranteed walk-in entry. The 2026 edition is finished. For the next edition, buy only through the organiser’s live registration route, confirm whether your background fits the stated audience, and obtain explicit age and side-event information before committing.
